  I am sure this is being censored to some places. My Live gbtv feed broke down just when this coversation began. I used a proxy server outside the US and could bet gbtv again. Big brother is getting upset because he is being found out.

  I read the link to the follow up article under “firing back”. Seems as if both sets of parents sorted it out between themselves with no issues. Apology given, apology accepted, end of story. The school is the one that scares me. Too much PC and not enough CS (common sense) & that is a world problem.

  The thing that should be of concern is children from Korea, China, Singapore etc. are far more advanced in the basics and the teachers are accountable. Left behind may be exactly what happens if no standards are put in place.;

  In Singapore they have a way of dealing with young vandals. They get caught and caned, anything from 6-16 strokes depending on the crime . It hurts its degrading and it works. There was a US kid who vandalized cars got 6 stokes, a swiss guy who graffiitied a train & got 6 as well. Don’t think they are doing it again. Saves putting people in jail as well.

  What about all the letters sent home to the schools? Trees cut down to create paper , energy used to create and deliver paper probably created more carbon that saved by turning off the heating for 8 hours.
