  • ‎36 years is long enough, Orrin… especially for someone who criticized his predecessor for holding the seat for 18 years, which Hatch thought was too long.

He has some pretty harsh words for libertarians… “These people are not conservatives. They’re not Republicans.”… “I despise these people”. So I guess to be a conservative you have to do things like support TARP and vote to raise the debt ceiling 16 times?

I would go for Dan L. if I were in UT.

  • truehitler40…

Your hate-filled diatribes, nonsensical calls for genocide, and juvenile and obscene language all stand as evidence supporting my theory that you have the lowest IQ on the blaze… and that is not an easy feat. Hopefully foreigners don’t project your low intelligence and radical behavior onto the entire population of America (in the same manner that you do to Islamic nations).

  • Trueamerican… I have read a good portion of the Qu’ran, but not all of it. Probably about half. How much of it have you read? (You‘ll surprise me if you don’t avoid answering this). I’ve also taken several courses on Islam and the history of West Asia. I haven’t read the communist manifesto. What does reading these two books have to do with Walid Phares and my analysis of his theories? Do you care to make a cogent argument?… or did you just see one word of my comment and decide to make a sophomoric statement to make yourself feel good?

  • Haha… you think Paulbots modified the word isolationism into non-interventionism? You are dead wrong on this one. Did the Paulbots somehow go back in time and change every dictionary ever printed? Isolationism is the product of both non-interventionism AND protectionism. Yes Paul is a non-interventionist, but Romney is a protectionist. So I guess you could say Paul is half isolationist, and Romney is half isolationist. It is people like you who pin this negative term onto Paul when it is actually very inaccurate.

  • This is because Romney hired and gets advice from Walid Phares. Phares is an anti-Muslim militia supporting islamophobic conspiracy theorists who thinks that our educational system is infiltrated with Islam-friendly indoctrination, and that Muslims had heavily infiltrated the US defense and intelligence departments. Phares was an intellectual supporter of a group called “Kill a Palestinian and you Shall Enter Paradise”, as well as a member of a Christian militia that reportedly took part in “the 1982 massacre of civilian men, women, and children at the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps.”

Other than Phares, Romney’s foreign policy team is largely made up of Bushites (as is his economic team). I’m not surprised that Beck is rallying behind him on this front.

  • Awking… Libertarianism and Paleoconservativism is much more than just fiscal and economic responsibility. It’s based on morality and the protection of the individual and property in all aspects. Guys like Paul Ryan and Jeff Flake claim to be all about fiscal and economic conservatism, but they definitely do not qualify as Libertarians. This is the same attitude as a friend of mine, who is a run of the mill Republican who claims to be a constitutionalist… he thinks something like social security is fine as long as it is fiscally feasible. Same as Romney. Libertarians are against many fiscally feasible programs because of the immorality of the confiscation of property or the infringement of individual rights. Not many Republicans fit this picture.

  • I think your percentage is a bit high… I’d say 10% to 15% of Republicans at most.

  • Actually a vote for nobody is a vote for nobody… not a vote for Obama. Voting for Obama is a vote for Obama. Voting for Ron Paul would not equal one vote for Obama. The underlying assumption with this line of thinking is that the Republicans are entitled to every vote from those who have registered with that party… no matter who they choose as the nominee. Pragmatic voting will always lead to poorer and poorer candidates, until the choice is between a Hitler and a Stalin (to paraphrase some quote I once heard).

I think the Ron Paul followers are generally rejecting big government and the mainstream one party rule over our county. If you honestly and sincerely step back and look at the last few decades, along with the current candidates, there is very little difference between the two parties. Both love big government, wars, regulation, and crony capitalism. So why is it such a crime to reject both? Why is it so vile to want something different? I‘m pretty sure the founding fathers didn’t waste time evaluating whether they should structure the government after Great Britain vs. France. It’s like offering someone who is allergic to orange juice either regular orange juice or orange juice with extra pulp, as if other beverages do not, and should not, exist. I am allergic to big government, wars, and cronyism no matter who is in charge!

  • I find it funny how the mainstream Republicans (who love to say that this country was founded as a “Republic” and not a “Democracy”) are so angry that Paul is actually using the republic way of gathering delegates to send to the convention. It looks like the mainstream GOP wants a beauty contest democracy instead of a republic.

  • Romney-Rubio2012/fastfacts/Santorum2012… That is a complete lie about Staples. Bain did not create Staples and cannot take credit for their 90,000 jobs. Bain funded about 10% of what Staples needed back in the 80′s. There was not a lack of investors and Bain was lucky to be part of it. So out of the 90,000 jobs, Bain could take credit for 9,000 at the very most. To say that without Bain those 90,000 jobs wouldn’t have existed shows a complete lack of intellectual integrity on your part and on the part of Romney (although he has not made that exact claim). Staples would have done just fine without Bain.

I hope you can reply to this before you change names again and start soliciting your websites.
