  • I’m not sure what to think about Trump as a Presidential candidate, but you have to admit that watching him skewer Chuch Todd is as about as good as it gets. I like plain talk and calling out liars.
And he hit the nail on the head about Karl Rove – why is anyone listening to him!? I have emailed Fox several times practically begging them to dump Rove.

  • “The biggest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing man he does not exist”

Some movie or another – but very true.

  • Arrest need to be made. The complete and total hypocrisy of the press and the Democrats is hitting a new high (low.) Intimidating and threatening people because they have a different political view than you is just beyond the pale. I haven’t been seeing any of this news in the main stream media, not even on Fox. What’s the deal?

  • Totally false. The establishment clause says that you can not “establish” any particular religion, but it in no way follows that you must remove God from the public square. If that were the case, I guess we’d better burn the Declaration. Still, you have every freedom to “practice” your atheism. For something that supposedly doesn’t exist, atheists sure expend a lot of energy trying to get rid of Him!

  • Gee, there are a lot of angry libertarians on here. Exactly how does this waste money?

I for one consider this a great day for America amidst our current turmoil. Who knows? Perhaps the turning point. By reaffirming our faith in God, maybe, just maybe, we will continue to live under the blessings we’ve enjoyed for over two hundred years.

Also, just for information, the in God we trust, goes back in spirit to the very Decleration of Independence – the very foundation of our claim to the right to declare independence was based on the faith in a loving God who had given us inalienable rights when He created us.
And it was written into our National Anthem (penned during the war of 1812.)

The second stanza of which says:

Oh, thus be it ever, when free men shall stand
Between their beloved home, and the war’s desolation

Blessed with victory and peace, may the heaven rescued land
Praise the power that hath made, and preserved us a nation

Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto – In God is our trust!

And the Star Spangled Banner forever shall wave
Over the land of the free, and the home of the brave!

    May it be so!

  • “Agencies like the NLRB want to use the color of authority to favor unions because they see that as a preferred social-engineering outcome”

Ed Morrisey is far too kind. Democrats and the NRLB members recently appointed by them, favor unions because they funnel money back to the Democrat party!

  • When an occupy movement started in our local town, I called the mayors office to complain that by camping out without a permit, they are breaking the law, and that it is very concerning when government starts deciding which groups of citizens must follow the law, and which may not.
The person who answered the phone suggested I email my concerns as that way they become a matter of public record (must have been a conservative.) I suggest that if you have an “occupy movement in your town, you email the mayors office (should be able to find an address on line or call for it) and ask them why these groups are being allowed to break the law.
Wouldn’t hurt to send a link to the list the Blaze posted on who is supporting the movement. Also mention safety concerns for people that live or work in the area.
I’m going to try to post this idea on as many stories about OWS as I can. Every citizen has a right to protest, but none of us has the right to break the law while doing so. Protest – yes. Illegal activity – no.
I’d be curious to know if these cities were chosen based on the local governments, and whether the organizers believed they would allow this kind lawlessness in the name of a liberal cause?

  • Amen, and thank you for reminding us all where our focus must always remain, for “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights” James 1:17

  • My mother was bi-polar (manic -depressive) and my father died when I was 15. She went into the hospital, and I was passed around to three seperate relatives in one year and lost all my credits. Even though I got good grades, I couldn’t take being in school anymore and took my GED when I was 17. I didn’t get to go to college.
I married young and foolishly and my husband was a gambler and a drinker, verbally, and occasionally physically abusive.
After fourteen years of sticking it out “for the kids” I realized they would be better off without him. I got a job making 12.75 an hour and was able to get bills paid off, and hang on to my house.
I worked FT, and went to baseball games 4 to 5 days a week. Got home at 8 made dinner, helped with homework, did dishes, laundry, etc, until I fell into bed at 10 or 11, then got up and did it again the next day. I never felt it was someone elses fault. It was my own fault for making such a stupid mistake.
Once, in line at the store, I couldn’t afford “store bought” cookies so I was buying flour and sugar to make cookies and bread. The woman in front of me was buying frozen pizza and Haagen Daas ice cream with her food stamps.
I worked hard, learned everything I could and in three years was able to double my income.
I recently married the love of my life, who grew up dirt poor and worked his way up, and we are solidly middle class.
We love this country, are thankful for our freedom, and we are the 53%.
