  Furthermore, the article states that this 5 year old says “I’m not transgender, I am a boy!”

  No child at the innocent age of 5 should know the word “transgender.” If she decided as an adult to become a boy, that’s one thing. But to teach a young child about transgender issues is poor parenting, to say the least.

  This poor child is confused now…..but just think how confused she will be when she’s a teenager. I, too, am one who believes that the parents should allow her to play with “boy’s” toys, but should NOT give in to her demands to be called a boy and use a boy’s name. When my son was about 2 years old, he insisted that he was a puppy. So I patted him on the head and said “good puppy!” and went back to what I had been doing. I did not put him in a kennel or feed him dog food; nor did I take him to see a psychiatrist! He soon outgrew his claim to be a puppy because I didn’t make a big deal about it. I fear that these parents jumped too fast to believe their daughter. At 2 years of age, children don’t even know the difference between boys and girls.

  Your comments show your ignorance. You say that the mother had the option to abort her child. For some of us, abortion is NEVER an option, as it involves the killing of an unborn child.

  I was in a similar situation myself many years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter. I chose LIFE, not murder, and my daughter is alive and well with two daughters of her own!

  Raddar, I agree with some of what you wrote, BUT, I disagree with your statement that “seeing someone gay will not make them gay or not.” True, seeing ONE gay may not influence your child, but our culture is now CELEBRATING the LGBT lifesyle. Our kids are inundated with this pro-homosexual message, in advertising, on TV shows, the movies, and in the schools. At a minimum, this will confuse our kids and encourage them to “experiment” with those of the same sex. Kids often submit to peer pressure, and if they get the message that “everyone is doing it” they feel pressured to go along with it. I am heterosexual, but I don’t march in parades to advocate my lifestyle. What goes on in my bedroom, or anyone else’s bedroom, should stay in the bedroom – not to be put on public display!

  I am appalled at most of what was written here. What bigotry!! I am not a Mormom, and am no expert on the topic, but I have a number of friends who are Mormon. Every Mormon that I know personally is better than most at following “The Golden Rule.” (Treat thy neighbor as you would like to be treated). Their family values are admirable, and none of them has said a single word to try to convert me from my religion to theirs.

  If you do not like Romney’s policies, fine – then vote for Obama. But if you do not vote for Romney solely because of his religion, you ARE a bigot! Why do some non-Mormons believe they know more about the LDS religion than the members of the religion do? What if I called YOUR religion a “cult?” Are you a member of the Baptist cult? The Catholic cult? the Methodist cult? (I do NOT believe these religions are a cult, any more than I believe that the Mormon religion is a cult).

  Remember, this country was founded on religious freedom; it is un-American to condemn a man for his religious beliefs.

  I feel sorry for the companies involved…they are caught in the middle. First, they are attacked by the racist progressives at Color of Change who threaten the companies with a boycott, using race to up the ante. When the companies give in to the Color of Change, they anger the rest of us….But we MUST get the attention of the companies who caved in to Color of Change, else this group will destroy our free market economy!
