What a smug egomaniac! We’ve all learned our lesson here, Newt.

Gingrich to Romney: Drop the ‘Pious Baloney’
January 8, 2012 at 1:53pm
Now America gets to see the Gingrich that we in Georgia have known for years. Pompous and self-serving at every turn. Refusing to admit that his fifteen minutes of fame are over, just watch and listen as he will simply rip into anyone in an attempt to claw his way back to the top.
Santorum Defends His Use of Earmarks as a Member of Congress
January 7, 2012 at 9:22pm
Sorry, but earmarks is just another vote-buying maneuver. I like Santorum best of the remaining group, but sure wish we had someone like Colonel West to choose from.
Stunning Time-Lapse: Photographer’s Year-Long, 17-Country Journey in 5 Minutes

Kansamo, I thought the same thing. He had some beautiful photos of many countries’ hidden beauty, yet for the USA, the only scene I saw other than cityscapes was the falls at Yosemite. We have so much beauty here and he obviously visited many states, yet he seemed to see none of the beauty we see. (Fields of corn that go on for miles, desert vistas at sunset, the ruggedness of snow-capped Rockies, etc.)
Beautiful video, but it seems America wasn’t one of his high points.
Do Ads Using Obese Kids to Scare Parents Go Too Far?
January 3, 2012 at 8:46am
The ridiculous part of these darn billboards is that schools no longer encourage kids to go out and play — recess is no longer part of their school day.
Get back to the basics — kids NEED to be active and giving them time during their school day to run around and play is a big part of that.
One more example of the DOE coming in and screwing up the school systems.

Seriously, who in the world has the time (or the desire) to nit-pick a photo to the point of eye-balling every person in the sea of soldiers? This is just crazy.
Shows you how bored some people can be.

Caught on Vid: Shoppers Launch Tirade at Walmart Manager Who ‘Closes’ Early on Christmas Eve
December 27, 2011 at 10:15am
Pavnet, you don’t get it. I’ve worked retail.
Every retail employee — especially at an all-purpose store like WalMart — knows that closing time doesn’t mean the store is vacant at that point. There are always people who are still shopping when the doors get closed to incoming shoppers. The managers make allowances for that and have one or two cashiers who are the closing registers.
What this manager did was wrong. Instead of closing the doors, he needed to ask these late-comers to help him out by hurrying with their purchases — make it more of a Christmas wish. ie., “Hi! I see you’re coming here for a last-minute purchase. Can I help you find anything? We’re all anxious to get home to our families, so please don‘t hesitate to ask for help if you can’t find what you’re looking for.” Then make sure that there are employees who are available to help anyone quickly find their merchandise.
