Ethicists Argue in Favor of ‘After-Birth Abortions‘ as Newborns ’Are Not Persons’
February 28, 2012 at 7:34pm
As long as we have “Christians” who believe it’s all right to kill anyone else except for self-defense, we will dig ourselves our own graves, and rightly so.
It is right to be outraged by such rationalizations as this. That argues that there still are a few morally sound people around. But if our thinking isn’t consistent — human life and personhood extends beyond the womb and infancy, and across all borders and oceans, too! — we doom ourselves, and rightly so.
As long as Christians think they can and should use government to legislate “Christianity” and use force on anyone to make them conform, no one is safe, in or out of the womb, unless you happen to be one of the elites. That’s just the way it is.
Okay; I’ve quit preaching for today. I’m gone. But please, please, please, Christians: learn Him, for He is humble, and He speaks the Truth because He is the Truth, and anyone who calls on Him, “Lord, Lord,” but doesn’t do what He says is not of Him — He said so.
Peace, and may you learn the Wisdom that is from above (James), and that is the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians), whom Christ promised would be our Teacher of all He taught (John 15).

Judges; 1 Samuel 8; 2 Chronicles 20; Ezekiel 3; 18; 33; Isaiah 56 -59; Matthew 5 – 7; 25:31-46; John 13 – 15; Romans 12; 13:8-10; 1 Corinthians 13; 2 Corinthians 10:1-8; Galatians; James 2:13; Hosea 6:6; Isaiah 5:20; 1 Samuel 15:22-23; Micah 6:8; 7:18-19; Luke 6:32-38, 43-46; 1 John; Revelation 19.
There’s SO MUCH!!!
And none of it — NONE OF IT — advocates or is about Christians forcing others to do what Christ ostensibly wants. It’s ALL ABOUT Christians doing what Christ wants, and letting HIM deal with the morals of others. No one has a God-given right to force others to do what God wants.
Romans 2.
Why do we miss all this? Why don‘t we know enough to know what we’re being taught in our pulpits is from hell rather than from heaven, when it supports the state?
How long will we send our children off to their wars, killing the innocents, in the womb and without, of other people, while we are aghast at the suggestions of these “ethicists” in our own midst?
1 Peter 4:17-18.
And when you read Rev. 19, read it very carefully: what weapons does the vast heavenly army wield? Who wields a weapon, and what is it? Does any of this apply to us here and now?
Can we “categorize” our faith into “personal/domestic“ and ”social/worldly” and still claim the Name? Did He?

“If voting changed anything they’d make it illegal.” — Emma Goldman
If you don’t vote for Ron Paul, your vote counts for the very things you’re berating here. He’s the only one who will dismantle all this corruption.
But you don’t like his foreign policy!
How about some consistency and honesty from all of you anti-Paul people?
Don’t you get it? Every time you vote for your party, the opposing party is also gunning for yours. Every time you get some policy enacted or overturned or modified more to your liking, the next cycle all that changes.
Duh.
Why not individual rights, freedom, and the dignity of self-ownership and self-government as the only permanent state of being? Who is qualified to rule you? I recognize no one but Jesus Christ Almighty God to rule me. Rendering to Caesar presumes there is a Caesar.
Why do you perpetuate anyone’s Caesar? Caesar doesn’t answer to you. God already has: He has created you in His image, with freedom, liberty, and dignity to rule your own life without Caesars. YOU put the idols of government in your life!
Why would you vote to give that to any human being on earth?! That’s what your participation in perpetuating this lie does.
Otherwise we wouldn’t even be having this discussion.
If you truly want this madness to end, USE your vote and make it count, for Ron Paul.
Before people like this make it illegal for you to exist.

Either you want freedom for all against overlords who can determine whether any should live or die, or you want the overlords — just according to your own political party’s dictates. Eventually — by the very nature of the beast — you will always arrive at someone else deciding another’s life and death.
Only freedom for all, with no one having the power to lord it over anyone else for any excuse, avoids this inevitability.
It’s not about liberals/Progressives vs. conservatives/neocons, or Democrat vs. Republican. It’s about power and control over others, and who has it. It’s about “majority rule”/democracy/mob rule vs. inviolate individual rights, freedom, and liberty.
If you don’t want to be ruled, then stop allowing others to rule you — and your neighbor. If you like ruling others, for any reason, “moral,“ ”ethical,“ ”religious,“ ”the common good,” et al., you’re part of the problem.
Jesus taught personal freedom — and responsibility. He never taught anyone was qualified or should rule others and make them conform to anyone’s morality or law.
Why do we Christians think just because we‘re Americans we don’t need to apply His teachings, but have a mandate to make everyone conform to our morals through force of law? This is exactly what these “ethicists” are doing — through the power of government that you so love, IF it would just be in OUR hands!
It’s time to end the State/government/rulers. Jefferson and Paine saw this; why do w

If you stop and think about it, this is only possible with government.
If there were no over-arching small group of rulers people clamored for the attention of through “majority rule” — mob rule — this could never fly.
Taxes pay for all this garbage. Stop paying taxes and government dries up and goes away, along with its funding and support of things like this.
In the Book of Judges, God never reprimanded the people for “doing what was right in his own eyes.” Bad stuff happened, but God didn’t put the kibosh on it. Instead, when the people clamored for an over-arching government headed by a king instead of God Himself, God warned them of exactly what would happen — and it did and it has today in this country, even though we think we don’t have “a king.” But He let us have what we wanted, instead of Him.
Within three generations the Kingdom of Israel was split, and in 70 A.D. it was finally dissolved. God is not in the modern secular state of Israel; read Isaiah 56 – 59 to see what God’s Israel really looks like.
Central government is anti-God and anti-human — unless you’re one of the “chosen few” elites.
That ain’t you and me.
Any candidate you support and elect is going to be your “king” except Ron Paul. If you truly want government rolled back to its only legitimate “authority,” your only chance is to get Ron Paul in as POTUS. He is the only one who will do away with tyrants of life and death in an ungodly government.

To those who think and act like baddoggy:
Where in the Gospels does Jesus do this, or give permission to His followers to say these things and behave this way, toward anyone, let alone “non-believers”? Are you cognizant of the fact that His strongest condemnations were for religious leaders?
Where in the New Testament do any of the Apostles think, say, or do the things you do toward anyone? Where do they write in support of these things? Please quote book/letter, chapter and verse.
Finally, where in the Old Testament does God give permission for this thinking and attitude against anyone? Are you aware that every single war or battle against anyone God did not directly command, Israel/Judah lost, with condemnation, humiliation, enslavement, exile, and finally abandonment?
1 Samuel 15:22-23 was used by Jesus to the legalistic and authoritarian religious leaders, with “obedience” changed to “mercy.”
Have you read 2 Chronicles 20? Pay special attention to the final verses.
Why did Jesus bother expending breath on things like the Sermon on the Mount if He didn’t expect them to be taken literally by His followers?
How about Romans 12? 1 Corinthians 13? James, especially 2:13? 1 John? Revelation 19? And Revelation 22:18-21?
Matthew 25:31-46; 23:23-24; Luke 6:32-38; 43-46.
Ezekiel 3; 18; 33. Isaiah 56 – 59. Romans 2.

Exactly so.
Thank you for your biblical, Christian advice.
Your thesis goes beyond this issue, too — to international affairs and war.
Christ is with no country that uses force and blood to make men “free” or “holy.”
Romney Has ‘Heated’ Exchange With Vet Over Gay Marriage: ‘I Guess the Question Was Too Hot’

The REAL issue is government involvement with marriage in the first place.
Government has NO BUSINESS in ANYONE’S marriage, and NO ONE has any business in anyone else’s marriage.
Do you know it wasn’t until relatively recently that government got involved in marriage? Until relatively recently, it was a strictly private affair — and PRIVATE is its ONLY legitimate sphere.
It‘s nobody’s business what consenting adults do privately. This issue has only come out in the open because of busy-bodies trying to force conformity on their neighbors’ BEDROOM affairs through government legislation.
It’s wrong.
You may believe homosexual conduct is a sin, but YOU have no business — even Scripturally! — in hunting down and prohibiting that sin in anyone else BUT YOU.
Government is a monopoly on force, and is the force of mob rule.
You can‘t paste Christ’s face on it and believe it’s good or anything else but evil.
Christ didn’t.
Matthew 5 – 7; Romans 2; Romans 12; James; 1 John.
Find in Scripture your permission to use government to make men “holy.”

So sorry for the “double” post; the first attempt was delayed, so I thought I’d done something wrong.
But on the subject, anyone who wants and supports an overarching, centralist government and wants to tax his fellows for anything is a statist.
How about the YAL rather than the statist organization you cited? I mean, go all the way. Don’t just call someone else a name and blame them for wrongs, and not examine what your own is, right?
