  • “I hope it doesn’t, you know, hurt his reelection, or whatever he’s trying to run for.”

It‘s not what he’s running for, it‘s what he’s running after.

  • I thought about looking for a bad lip sync with Joe, but realized you wouldn’t be able to tell it from Joe himself.

“We’ll take the back door approach. No one will see us coming.”

  • This point in the article is well taken, communists and radical Islamists both seek world domination because each group believes they have “the answer.” One comes from a so-to-speak intellectual viewpoint, but in actuality unproven belief, the other from that of religious belief. Both are part of a movement against personal freedom. Both have failed throughout history to improve the human condition, instead bringing violence, pain, misery, and death to tens or even hundreds of millions across the centuries.

I believe our brains were wired through thousands of years of evolution during most of which our ancestors lived in small hunter-gatherer groups that had to be collectives to survive. Unfortunately, collectives cannot scale up to the size of modern populations. The failure of communism in the 20th century proves this.

Capitalism does scale up, as proven by the success of the British Empire and then the USA. It is the system that relies on personal freedom, and of course, morality and responsibility. Note that China, nominally communist, did not begin to advance economically until it adopted free market reforms; they learned from Hong Kong. Have the British? Have we?

  • I would ask Mr Stiefel how he is different from religious proselytizers; both try to get others to accept their beliefs on faith alone. I would also ask why he feels compelled to actively try to persuade others rather than take a “live and let live” approach to such a personal matter.

  • Obama’s strategy: divide and pander.

  • If one looks at the sum total of Obama’s actions, it might be difficult to charge “treason,” but ignoring his oath of office and facilitating corruption are absolutely what he’s done. Ad lib commentary may not always express what the speaker intended, but directionally that comment was right on target (oops).

  • Marx’s philosophy is one of envy and hate. It continues to amaze that a thuggish and discredited philosophy and economic theory continues to have adherents. “Losers of the world, unite.” Of course, you’ll still be losers.

  • Megan was a bit too PC. Rather than make a lame apology, she should have called a blatantly racist statement for what it was, and then named the one who should apologize.

  • What about the second error, that the US flag should be of “superior prominence?” As far as I know that means higher than any other flag nearby.

But we know that the current administration does not respect flag or country, so what should we expect?

Let’s mock him out of office….
