  once upon a time, immigrants paid for their passage here with indentures,,, normally 10 years labor for a tradesman or a farmer. Then they were granted permission to apply for resident status providing their religion or politics weren’t offensive.

  if one of them ‘dream’ kids wants to mow my lawn for 10 years & keep my beemer washed ‘n waxed for free; stays outta trouble, learns the language and does 3 years in A’stan and votes conservative, then ok; I’ll co-sign his membership application for citizenship.

  1st Amendment must be protected.. it’s not there to settle arguments, it‘s there to promote debate and strengthen the individual in contrast to the ’authorities’; i.e; ‘the state’.

  Westboro Church is using ‘protected speech’ to insult and denigrate individuals.. private citizens. Not the state or public persons.

  There is a difference.. hopefully, the court will define that.

  You can’t legislate common sense.. I know not to drive when “distracted”, so do you. Making it ‘illegal’ doesn’t make us saints, or somebody that operates a radio or a cell phone while driving a freakin criminal. It’s about competence… and personal responsibility. Most of us have been having conversations in cars our entire lives and can manage to actually drive and chew bubble gum, too.

  Gonna make airline pilots land before they answer a radio call? Make it illegal for hot chicks to jog?

  You can’t legislate common sense.

  The socialist nanny state types our current administration is salting throughout our dysfunctional Acronym Agencies just drool over this kind of legislation, makes ‘em feel important to mandate what you can do, when and where you can do it, what you can buy, what you can sell and where you can sell it… they not only want complete control of your income, they want you to pay them for the ‘privilege’ of living your life.. should you choose to ignore their mandates and live it as you see fit; it‘ll get yah labeled a ’criminal’, or a ‘threat’ or ‘a danger to others’.

  HEY, SHEEPLE…. WAKE UP!!

  When are we gonna wake up and tell our government to butt the hell out of our lives?
