  I agree with Desertrose on all the facts she has reported. My husband is a federal employee, and a Combat Vet. He is a hard worker, and gets tired of the “bad apples” He has to deal with. As for those who want to cut the doctors who work specifically with our vets, that isn’t going to work. What you don’t realize, and what isn’t reported is that 90% of our vets will not, or cannot speak with someone who isn’t a vet. And before you go ranting about them needing to be more willing to work with the private sector or some crap like that. Go and spend 6-12 months in Afghanistan, then we’ll see how you feel. Not to mention the fact that if they do that, then they will have to pay for the care through their private insurance. “The person that said that you should pull your grandpa out of the hospital and take care of him yourself.” You are just an ignorant fool, and need to spend some time with our troops and their families. Spend just one day seeing the effects war has on people, even after they get home, your mind will be changed. Get off your high horses people and realize that there are some federal jobs that are completely necessary. Do I think we need reform in the government? Yes, absolutely! I think it needs to start at the top though, with all of the czars that have been hired, and congressmans aids and such that aren’t necessary. Another fact that isn’t reported in this article, is the federal employees will not receive any raises for the next 2 years
