Atheists Launch Scholarships for Clergy Who Want to Escape the ‘Supernatural’ & Abandon the Pulpit
May 10, 2012 at 10:08am
I guess a clergical version of the GI Bill is ok. I as long as they don’t force it, or the cost for it, on others unwilling or moralily apposed to it. If someone really dose have a crisis of faith and can no longer act with a clear mind as a leader in there faith, If Richard Dawkins and friends wants to offer aid thats nice of them…. BUT IF he then turns it around to make the gov (taxes) pay for part or all of it thats when I’ll get angry about it.
Entrepreneurs Debate: Do You Need a College Degree to Succeed in America? (Poll)
May 9, 2012 at 5:09am
I like to think that it’s not the education from a collage that is the problem it’s the mindset. I take some collage classes in things that interest me or benefit me. I’m not aiming for a degree in whatever I just want to know about something so I take a class in it. It’s a love of learning. But those that are just shooting to be certified as smart are just aiming for a cloud (you may hit but who cares).
It’s like the group of people that require a person to be trained and certified to braid hair. Or if you don‘t have a degree in whatever you don’t really know what your talking about. The problem is that what schools normally teaches these days is not how to live but how to pass school and if your good at passing school you tend to think of the rest of life as just more school. I passed grade X and now have a degree in X so that means I get Job in X and just have to attend at least 75% of the time and get a passing grade on the final to get promoted. Rinse and Repeat. Where as in life you have to be (or make an item) worth more to your employer (or customers) then the cost of paying you, and they have very little care for how much you tried if you dont do (or produce) what you said you would.
Massachusetts Outlaws School Bake Sales
May 8, 2012 at 4:48am
Anyone Remember a qoute that goes something like We’ll stop complaining when school is fully funded and the military runs on bake sales? This is going to require that schools lobby for more money from the state with no public gain or product being given in return… that and my squadron is having a bake sale to raise money…. can we stop hearing them complain now.
AP Fact Check: These Are the ‘Weird Claims’ Coming From Democratic & Republican Presidential Candidates
March 23, 2012 at 8:22am
Notice that the artical sites “sampling of weird claims”on both sides but only lists one of the gafts of the vice pres and two of the people that campaining for the office of Pres. As if the Current office holder hasn’t made any questionalble statements, only the people around him and those running aginst him.
Even when trying to be unbias AP fails.

Which Reality TV Show and War Inspired ‘Hunger Games’?
March 23, 2012 at 7:31am
I never understood why people get upset with someone ripping off ideas of others in fiction. If you look around there are alot of books and movies that are just differnt takes on the same themes or ideas. I haven’t read HungerGames but I have read Running Man and Battle Royle, both are creepy and show the evil large group vs the heroic or antihero person. Who eventually wins and the larger show implodes. Hell when the Running Man Movie came out that same year there were some very poorly done rip offs with the very same theme.
If you read alot of fiction you find that alot of it is the same style story with different authors. (or maybe i just keep picking books that have the same themes)
Aside from all that what is the point? It’s a book that got made into a movie and became popular dose it breake my arm or pick my pocket? Will It influance how I should vote? Dose it uplift the cultral norm? So what. Its like complaning that Titanic ripped off a story about the real Titanic and got some or even most of the facts wrong. Why dose it matter in any way shape or form? It will be popular for a while then move into realm of fandome then get refrenced to every now and then. Possably spawning even more blantent rip offs movies or tv shows.

Shock: Solyndra Caught Destroying Millions of Dollars Worth of Parts
January 21, 2012 at 12:03am
How much of that is laziness and how much is the company not being able to do x becuse of they would have to be in noncomplance withThe “Giveing of semicondutors” Clause of the preapproved-local-board-of-lawyers-waiting-to-sue-anybody-for-anything?
I mean what would happen if some student did something with the things that caused him to hurt (himself/another/the building/the general public)’s feelings?
There is love out there but its not legal to show it and when it is someone will be offended by it and sue.
Atheists to File Civil Rights Complaint After Florists Refuse to Deliver to Teen Behind Prayer Mural Ban
January 20, 2012 at 11:40pm
Why the ….. did she need flowers anyway? She won her case…. wait…. Shes not buying the flowers for herself…. who’s sending her flowers from small stores that may not want to be tagged with her and the media following on a google search? Plus they interviews a couple of different stores how many said “Sure whatever.”
Why do these stories get highlighted anyway? I mean this is just someones 15min of fame turning into 30 mins becuse the media wants to hit us over the head with the “Relegion is Evil” Bat AGAIN.
Shock: Solyndra Caught Destroying Millions of Dollars Worth of Parts
January 20, 2012 at 11:03pm
I hate to play devils advocate but This is probably the error of the Solndrya company admin more then the Current white house admin. (althou how something can cost more sitting outside in packs occupying space of a company that is nolonger doing anything with the space or items…. rather then paying workers to waste forklift fuel and manhours takeing them pallet by pallet appart) I agree the O shoved money into a sinking ship but its still run by its own board… i think anyway… i could be wrong.
