  I am a Psychology major and I will assure you, there is nothing more leading than MOST statistics. Obviously, some are plainly of the most basic form and only a numbers transferred to graphs, but research statistics and those used to try and predict future phenomenon or the economy, only give a person the idea of what happened considering the sample representing the study. Personally, I think it is all a bunch of hog wash, but I do use them quite often, but only because it is all I have to use as a tool. More times than not, if you don’t consider a great many variables, actually pick up the report and ask a great deal of questions, you will find most are slanted towards that which the researcher wants to discover or support. These intellectuals act as if they are pure proof or evidence they can use to support their bogus claims… but in the end, the report or statistics themselves also represent a bogus claim….. Bugs the heck out of me … Especially when academia acts like I should just accept what they are reporting to me … grrrrr I hate the fact I have to have the degree if I wish to be anybody in the world of psychology …

  No … The Mormons had it right .. they usually do. I learned a hard lesson moving to Australia, having to find a home for my dog so I could marry….. Anyways, to make a long story short, I married in Australia, love it, but didn’t work, came home and the guy I had left my dog with, actually, him and his wife, had given Tubbie to the Humane Society… His wife got pregnant and had allergies to the dog. To my friend, he only see‘s dog’s as working .. not real fond of them in the house area/// Anyways, when I cam back, to his surprise, he put his head down and walked away, saying he needed to talk to me…He was a good little dog, they liked him a lot, took him camping and all kinds of stuff. He is just a genius of simple thinking, and moved about the earth that way. Often not thinking things out as he travels to his happy fairy land … I lived life, Tubbie had lived life… Still, as angry as I get, I accepted that reality before I gave him to them, and I was jammed do to enabling mother who has said she would take him, out of the blue, decided to move into the apartment just below my less than complete sister… That was a BAD move, that still is throwing consequences the whole family feels the burden of.. But, I digress.. So she couldn’t have dogs there, wouldn’t even ask.. Just kept saying she would take him to the animal place if she had to … grrrrrrr.. So I gave him to the young Mormon couple… Happy ending. he was gone in 3 days.. making somebody else happy !

  NO different than those who dream of the days of Socialism coming to a park near you,you Paulians are nearly as lost in your ability to see reality. Ron Paul has not done a single, not one single remarkable act concerning his ideology or stir any pot, or even make a stand that had any significant impact on the way things are done in Washington. He has done nothing in the way of stopping the problems with the Fed, and you idiots who are acting as spoiled ignorant children are doing him no favors in his bid for a favorable position on the Romney administration. While Romney isn’t the most conservative man in the game, he is an honest family man who would never act in a manor which he believes would hurt our nation. Hey, you people want to keep on your train and pulling the horn lever, that is great and fine, but your continual betraying acts towards your fellow American patriots won’t be viewed lightly. I understand your dismay and frustration, but to continually try and make the ridiculous claim that Obama and Romney are the same people, only reveals the extent of your disillusionary thinking and ideology. Keep it up, and you will never be known for anything better than those people who wear tin hats. Never never land is always perfect and beautiful but only because it is a made up p-lace, with no place in the reality of human beings.   The call should be to enablers and the co-dependent. The government acts as this agency of enabling in many cases. I hear Jamie’s cry out, and I can understand. Those of you who want to give her grief are ignorant of your own humanity. I have worked with countless numbers of devoutly religious folks who suffer terribly as their children are active addicts, so I know you are not exempt from the ravages addiction causes. The War on Drugs has never succeeded nor will it. As some very wise mother’s pointed out, it starts at home. All you tough and rigid religious rights who believe it is just a matter have being tough and having a strong will, if you have children, most likely contributed to your child’s emotional psychological struggles, whether they lead to addiction in the form of drugs or other abusive measures. No person chooses to be an addict nor would ask for such a life of literal hell on earth. The science supports it as a disease and if you need the neurological imaging of the brain to prove it to you, just google it. 80 % of the people in jail are there as a result of alcoholism and addiction. I could go on to list the massive costs dawned upon pour people as a result of alcohol alone, yet, it is still embraced. Which is fine, but you better look in the mirror if you neglected to tend to your children’s emotional and psychological well being and now disown them for being addicts. I will live my in the field of addiction helping those who suffer.

  That’s right Jefferson, Ron Paul is still in the race, so what is your concern ?? All those people he brings out, I mean if he is the man, he still has his chance … SO what’s the deal brother, what is your issue ?? OH , I know, we are all stupid, and you are all smart. JUst like the intellectual elite on the left, you know what is best for us uneducated folks… While I personally support Ron Paul, as an EDUCATED man, I know the utopia of Communism never came to bear the fruit the paper said it would. However, there are communist countries in existence. Can you please show me where in the history of the world has ever a purely libertarian utopia existed and succeeded ? I am sorry guys, while i love the idea, we are from from having evolved enough as people to do exist as you wish. You act as Ron Paul had discovered some secret recipe to a happy and pure existence, yet, the man has done nothing in all those years to promote any part of this existence. Even so much as limit the Federal Reserve. With such a following, and with such a position, one would think he could at least accomplished this. Just sayin ….

  Haha, I am taking an American literature course at the moment and studying Thoreau. I am having the most terrible time interpreting what it is he is saying. I find that I Actually agree with much of what he says, same with Emerson, but I keep finding others interpreting what they say differently than I understand them. I wonder if it is them or I who is wrong. I could argue much about the sentiment they may have and the reasons for them having it. They speak of natural laws, and I would say that senseless killing may be in opposition to the spirit of life, but then again, there life cycles do continually go around and around. Even if it only a bacteria that benefits from the kill, we would not survive with out bacterias. While I do say that the person who acted out upon the senseless kill, or kill in jest, is really the only one who pays the price. But it is his price that he pays as his actions take away from his own spirit, not anybody else. As I had expressed in my one post in class, I believe it is arrogant of humans to believe they are so powerful they can “kill the planet”, for mother nature will only recycle us as she had the dinosaurs, and continue on. Who knows, what I do know is I will probably have my analytical post for class determined WRONG.. hehe but I Can’t help myself.

  I have zero respect for any of your Ron Paul people. Ignorance such as yours is the exact reason we could never vote Ron Paul into office o matter how much I believe in what believes. You fools are no better than the lefties, who completely discount the reality of the natural human. While I live your theory in heart where ever I can in life, I promise you, there has never been a race, people or nation that operated under such a condition. Why do you think this is ? Why do think the Indians or the Natives of any land had never just been libertarians? Because it doesn’t work in reality because of human nature. Just as Communism and Marxism and whatever other great idea you can propose, that are all failures in reality. You people are same as the intellects of the left, only worse. Where as they at least propose to design a place that is at least tolerable.   ahhh… I lived in Australia for year, I had some big spiders get in the car and had freaked out.. poisonous too. As for snakes, I had wondered about it. Heck, I was still checking my shoes and checking underneath ANYTHING before I picked it up for months after I returned back to the states. IT doesn’t take long for the habits to become built in. Lucky for her, those Brown Snakes are quite poisonous and aggressive.
