  • Ranger, you‘re right that it’s a State government. But a State government cannot violate your Natural Rights anymore than a federal government can. Hrmmmm, maybe a better choice of words is “should not”. Those pigs are private property, on private land, and it cannot be proven that they have damaged other people’s private property. It is a gross violation of one of our most basic Natural Human Rights, the right to be secure in our property, and needs to be resisted

    In reply to mrsuperpat.

JJ, your argument that our founding fathers did not have automatic weapons, and thus we shouldn’t, is false. Here is why, the Americans used military grade hardware of their time, in fact, some of their rifles were better than the British ones because of the rifling, they made them more accurate. The 2nd Amendmant is there as the answer when the ballot box no longer works, and the government does not listen to the people any longer. Any other lawful activity you would have the weapon for, such as trap shooting and hunting, have nothing to do with it. As for the assault weapons ban, it wasn’t automatic weapons, it was semi-auto assault type rifles, ones that any free citizen should have every right to own. Nice attempt at deflecting, but automatic weapons are considered military/leo police grade weapons, something we haven’t been able to own for some time now. The Assault weapons ban was on weapons we could already own, such as the SKS or AR15. There is no good reason for the ban on automatic weapons, if a criminal really wants them, they will get em easily. It merely tips the scales against the lawful gun owner who would only use a firearm in the manner it should be used for.

  • The republican party does not just automatically get my vote, they have to earn it. For you folks here begging us to just set our principles aside, just so we can beat Obama, I pray for you. One of our biggest civic responsibilities is electing leaders with principles, that will lead us in the manner the Constitution laid out. The Constitution is a contract, and at this time, the federal government is in violation of that contract, on a constant basis. Trying to shove another Constitution hating progressive at me and telling me I have to vote for him so your side can win will never work. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. Republican establishment types that vote party over principle, prepare to go the way of the Whigs. Folding like a bad poker player on the debt ceiling, voting for the NDAA, attempting to sneak in SOPA and the Enemy Expatriation Act, and trying to shove an odious Oathbreaker at us to be President, is going to mean you will not have a party very soon. Man up, start to show God the respect he deserves by standing up as free men, and vote on the principles laid out in the Constitution. When Mitt stated he supported the NDAA, that ended any hope I would ever vote for him.

  • Umm, no Mr Molotov Cocktail, you are referring to socialism on both sides. True free market capitalism and socialism are not the same. If you are referring to our system of “capitalism”, that is nothing more than socialism being gamed to look like a free market. Get it right sparky, government enforced collectivism has nothing to do with true free markets. Instead of Capitalism and socialism, let’s just call them what they really are, Freedom and tyranny. Thank God we live in a place where Freedom loving people are armed and can contest the “vote” of idiot statists.

  • Here’s the thing, and I know I’m gonna get blasted for this, but it needs to be said. The Catholic Church has brought this on themselves. They’re stated policy in the Church is that healthcare is a Right, they support socialized medicine. And now they get pissed because the government makes decisions in that area they find morally repugnant? While I agree with them that nobody should be forced to violate their principles and morales in regards to government rules. But maybe the Church’s leadership should have thought about that before they supported ramming government run healthcare down our throats. You reap what you sow. Maybe the Church should rethink it’s policy in regards to healthcare being a Right, and start to preach a more Christ like solution of free choice for everyone.

  • The Catholic Church is beginning to reap what it has sown. And I’m not speaking about the normal member, but it’s leadership. They supported the government healthcare mandate, the Catholic Church’s stance that healthcare is a right is what is jumping up to bite them in the ass now. When will people start to realize, that when you advovate the violation of any civil liberties, which they did by supporting the healthcare law, you leave yourself open to it’s abuses as well. Now maybe they will actually take a pro-freedom and liberty stance on healthcare? They asked for and supported government intervention in healthcare, and now they‘re upset that it’s not going as planned? Come on, when the hell has government ever done anything right except steal?

  • DON’T use the words Oath Keeper in describing Allen West. If you want to support his retoric, great, do so. But use some intellectual integrity when doing so. He does not keep his Oath to support and defend the Constitution. He voted for the friggin NDAA, in effect naming every one of us enemy combatant.
So sick of the big government people out there (and yes West is one of them), using words such as Constitution, and restore our republic, yet support things so blatantly anti-republic, and unConstitutional. HE is NOT a defender of the republic, he is just another tyrant that loves tools such as indefinite detention to intimidate his political enemies. Call me a traitor, tell me I need to leave my country, I was born here, I wore a uniform in it’s service, watched friends not come home, had a father come home from Vietnam a broken man, my mom served 16 years, my entire family has either served or does now. The traitors are people that voted for things like the NDAA. I would just love to get his position on the Enemy Expatriation Act.

  • @sdarbro
Wether felons can vote or not vote has really nothing to do with this discussion. But if you want to be, great.
Most states, if not all of them, have a path for a felon to take to receive his voting rights back. And there is not a damned thing wrong with that. No, a person serving time in a prison or jail, or while on parole, should not have the right to vote, many of his rights during this time are curtailed, and properly so. Once that person has served their sentence, and they are free of all state or federal penalties, there is no reason why they should not be able to vote again. Who gave people like you the power to strip a person of their basic Natural Rights? If that person’s sentence is completed, they have every right to help to decide who will be taking a turn at violating even more of their rights.

  • Actually Marci, you’re wrong there. The synthetic marijuana does not do that to you. I know exactly what she used, because I’ve seen it many times while working security at raves and concerts. I can almost guarentee she was smoking Salvia, and was smoking a really strong version.
For those that do not know, Salvia is a hallucenogenic, and is in no way related to, or have any similarities to, synthetic marijuana or real cannabis.
Now, before the drug warrior crazies out there get their panties in a bunch over Salvia, there are good reasons it’s use is not widespread. Most people use it, do it once or twice, and do NOT try it again. The drug will not kill you, the plant is a member of the Sage family, and has been used in Native religious ceremonies for a very long time.

  • Please Boehner, go away, and take all your big government crony friends in the democrat and republican party with you. I can’t support a man for the position you are in, because you have no balls, and geldings freak me out.
