‘Real News’: What Would the Federal Bureaucracy Look Like Under a President Romney?
April 18, 2012 at 9:39pm
Ron Paul as president? Give me a break and live in the real world. Mitt will be our candidate and he will beat Obama if we all get behind him. No one thought Reagan was going to be Reagan – and he was once a Democrat and raised taxes significantly in CA. I predict that Romney will be elected and be one of the greatest presidents in history bringing us back from the brink – we had sure better hope so since we may never recover from four more years of the Marxist in Chief.
‘Real News’: What Would the Federal Bureaucracy Look Like Under a President Romney?

Mitt Romney has spent his entire adult life cutting bloated, inefficient, and overreaching organizations down to size – so your theory is that he will now change his MO to something that is foreign to every fiber of his being? You anti-Romney trolls are getting very old.
Palin to Hannity: ‘Enough is Enough With the Lies About Gingrich’

Up until very recently I had a lot of respect for Sara – unfortunately, most of that is now gone. We’ll have to depend on Michelle Bachmann to carry the mantle of conservatism among the fairer sex.
As to Romney not being a conservative, of the 5 most critical problems facing our country: (1) a bloated and overreaching federal government, (2) a broken economy, (3) illegal immigration, (4) the War on Terror, and (5) China – he has consistently been the most conservative of any of the candidates on the last three issues (as Ann C. would point out). And, does anyone in their right mind not believe that Romney is the most qualified and capable to solve the first two.
And Romney care? – there are probably as many similarities between our Constitution and the Communist Manefesto as there are between Obamacare and Romneycare. Just what is your solution to keep people from freeloading on the system by not buying insurance and then going to the emergency ward when they need medical care – care that tax payers and those being responsible who purchase or acquire their own insurance ultimately pay for? (My plan would be to only provide life saving care and nothing more to those who have no insurance or cannot pay, and have the debt follow the person getting the care for the rest of their life, if necessary, until the debt is paid, including garnishing wages and restricting any government benefits until the debt is eliminated – but some will say this is too harsh.)

Of course illegal aliens will self-deport if all of the incentives/benefits that brought them here and keep them here are eliminated. Romney has specifically mentioned E-verify with heavy penalties for anyone not using or abusing the system, and this is probably the most important step. But, in addition to this, if illegals are denied any government benefit, free education, free medical care, and no anchor babies, virtually all will self deport.
I don’t know if Romney would agree, but my solution would be to give illegals one year to leave the country voluntarily. After this date, anyone caught in the country illegally should be arrested, booked, have their property confiscated, and deported never to be allowed in the country again for any reason.
These steps would virtually eliminate illegal immigration in one year.
Is Gingrich a ‘Progressive?’: Beck and O‘Reilly Debate Issue on ’The Factor’

I am a devout Christian who believes that Jesus Christ is the literal son of God the Father, in both the spirit and the flesh, just like He said in the scriptures; and I believe in God the Father, who is the father of my spirit and in whose image I am – just like the scriptures say. I also happen to be a Mormon.
But, according to you, I am not a Christian – because you say so; and because I believe what the scriptures say about the nature of God and the realtionship between God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ; and not what a bunch of very confused men in the 4th century in Nice finally deduced through committee based solely on the “wisdom of men” (remember, they believed that revelation was no longer present on the earth).
Your attitude may be why many non Christians have such a dim view of Christianity. I would never call you a non Christian solely because I believe you are lacking a great deal of understanding about the Godhead. If you believe in Jesus Christ of the New Testament and try to live a life based on the teachings of Christ, you are a Christian to me. I wish that you and others like you would give us the same respect.

Anyone who would sit on a couch with Princess Nancy and decry manmade global warming should be very, very suspect to any legitimate conservative. Newt reminds me of most of my past college professors (of which he is one): those who can – do; those who can’t – teach. The Republican revolution succeeded in spite of Newt – not because of him; there was a massive revolt against him in the late 90′s which forced his resignation. He does have some good ideas, but he does not have the leadership or discipline to get them accomplished. There are a number of cabnet positions he could ably fill; but president, no thanks.
I’m a Bachmann fan, as she has been the most consistent conservative throughout the entire process and throughout her career; but, if it comes down to Mitt (who has demonstrated his moral compass and leadership capabilities throughout his life) and Newt (who has more skeletons in his closet than anyone expect maybe Clinton, who has accomplished little in the private sector, and who has been a fixture of big government for several decades), it has to be Mitt by a mile.
