  This is the same woman that thought that the mid-term elections should be held off so that congress could complete its agenda with out worrying about campaigns. She is “in bed” (in a literal sense) with the Obama administration. She is the reason that the DNC is going to trash Charlotte this year. The only reason she got elected, is so many voters checked the strait party vote in 2008. (There is irony in that being the “strait” party.) The good news is that she is on her way out. Not running for reelection. I just hope she doesn’t screw us more as a lame duck.

  I suppose all of us bigoted North Carolinians will go kill ourselves as soon as the kind-hearted married gays start having kids naturally.

  North Carolina’s Marriage Amendment is as follows: “Marriage between one man and one woman is the only domestic legal union that shall be valid or recognized in this State. This section does not prohibit a private party from entering into contracts with another private party; nor does this section prohibit courts from adjudicating the rights of private parties pursuant to such contracts.” There were many here that tried to say that civil unions and those in abusive relationships will not be protected. The civil unions are protected under the contracts part and ANYONE in an abusive relationship is protected by assault laws regardless of the relationship between the abuser and the victim.

  Yes, I voted for the amendment even though I feel it is an overstep of government power. However it is a state power, not a federal power. I am still free to go to another state if I do not like the laws of NC.

  What if my wife agrees with me and with COMMON SENSE? You are free to use birth control, you just have to pay for it yourself. These stupid dumbascraps try to make it sound like Republicans want to make birth control illegal. We just do not want to pay for other peoples birth control. If they want free birth control, pass out the above picture of Helen Thomas.

  I may have to agree with Obama here- “John Stewart is brilliant”. But you need to add “when compared to the vice president, Box of Rocks Biden” to make it a correct statement.

  I did a quick search and found this site to let you know if your car has a “black box” and where it is located:

  Last month we got to camp on the Intrepid’s sister ship, the Yorktown (CV10). Yorktown is in Charleston, SC. She is in need of repair. When camping with scout groups, you can get into areas not available to the normal tours. It was a very eye-opening expirence by getting to see how sailors had to live on these ships. Many narrow passages, open mesh floors, steep stairwells, among other things that make living on one of these ships a courageous ordeal. It gave me a new respect for our military, both past and present.

  What does he think about MTV (Music Television). They used to play music on their channel, now it is just overated garbage. If you do not like what is on the channel, use the remote to change it.

  Technically, any programming they show was recoreded in the past so it is “history”.
