  Bettman wanted a European style game. He thought it would grow the NHL. I could go on all night about how much he has ruined this sport. Never liked him from day 1. ‘The NHL expansion has also hurt. As a Philly fan I would love to see more games against Detroit and Colorado but with so many teams now it doesn’t happen but 1 or 2 times a year. I love good clean hard hitting and glove dropping hockey. Let the players take care of the punks.

  It was borderline late. He had just passed the puck and Raffi followed through. However Raffi did leave his feet. No question there. The problem here is it was a league superstar that was laid out. If it was Carcillo instead of Hossa no one would care. It was a shoulder and not the elbow. 25 games is excessive in my opinion. If Shanahan and the NHL wants this issue solved, drop the 2 minute instigator and fines for fights in the last 5 minutes of a game. Allow the players to deal with it on the ice and you WILL see less cheap shots.

  Never voted for any of the Clintons and certainly not a fan of their policies. But does Rush really have to stoop to those levels? Really Rush??? Does Hillary “Babe” portray you as Humpty Dumpty? Attack the policies not the person.

  Something stinks about this entire thing. I was at the game. 99% of the Flyers and Rangers fans were good and descent. But I personally witnessed the most obnoxious NY fan being escorted out of the park in section 147. Yea I remember my first beer too. To the guy who got beat up. Thank you for serving our great country and protecting our streets. However I have to wonder what happened to get this all started? There is always two sides to every story. Rarely does anything happen like this that is unprovoked. The truth will come out.

  I am from the Philly area. I was at the game. While most of the NY Fans were ok there were quite a few there who were completely obnoxious. Case in point section 147 is where my seats were. It was a NY fan being escorted out of CB Park because he and his buddy were out of control. That was in the 3rd period. I actually moved because of these two idiots. Be very careful as to what this video is displaying. I don’t care if this guy was a cop or marine. My bet is there is a whole lot more to this story than what is being told. Kinda like the OWS and police using pepper spray on college students. Did you happen to see THE REST OF THE STORY? Now are Philly fans idiots. 99% are not. However and unfortunately you hear about the 1 individual out of a thousand who acted out. Most of us are civilized.

  Honestly the first thing that came to mind when hearing about this story? If the kid is black Jessie and Brother Al will be on the next flight heading to Texas. Its a shame that is the first thing I thought of.
