  • Regarding your second post, who knows?

They might have been white supremacists, or there might have been a completely different motive.

I’m not even going to try to guess – my point is that in the “news,” the truth is seldom as it appears. Since this story falls nearly squarely in the category that gets buried by the msm, I doubt we’ll learn more. What little information we have seems to be missing most of the vital details.

  • @ROWGUE

Read the article. You’re right: it wasn’t the EPA. You’re wrong: it WAS the Environmental Police.

If you don’t believe the Blaze, go to the Lowell Sun article. If you can’t be bothered to read that article, either, at least look at the caption under the picture.

Here is the caption from the photograph in the Lowell Sun article, and I quote:
“A state Environmental Police truck stands by the entrance to Great Brook Farm State Park in Carlisle Tuesday. Officers closed the ice-cream stand there Friday over alleged construction-permit violations.”

Yes. The Mass Environmental Police are real. Here is their website: http://www.mass.gov/dfwele/dle/

    Google is your friend.

No, we are not foaming at the mouth. How was the story misrepresented? Did you actually read the article?

  • “Evangelical.”

Terms mean nothing anymore. I‘ve seen people who say they’re pastors deceive entire flocks, lie with a straight face over and over again. I’m jaded to it all. The whole “Christian” culture in America is full of showmen. Show me with your words and works what you are, not with overused terms. (While James is not my favorite epistle, I agree with what he has to say about faith => works. Not to be confused with salvation by works)

23? I won’t discount him just because of his age, but I know I sure wasn’t ready for any kind of religious leadership position at 23. I sure don’t feel qualified now.

C’mon, politicians. What else do you have? We’re tired of the same bag of tricks. Holding up a cardboard cutout and then stamping it with the religious stamp doesn’t mean anything anymore. This too, is vanity. A chasing of the wind.

  • @Grace

Amen. God have mercy on us horrible sinners.

  • We’re ALL born evil. Fair warning: I’m about to quote the Bible. If you (any reader) don’t like it, don’t read it.

Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Isaiah 53:6 – All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Jeremiah 17:9 – The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

I can attest to the last one, personally.

I’m not pontificating – I’m fully aware of my own sin and am reminded daily. I mourn it all the time and long for the day when these burdens will be gone.

Is the kid a sociopath? Maybe. Maybe it was an accident. Who knows? Sure, some folks have a particular propensity to commit the worst deeds imaginable. But for grace, there go I. My point is that we’re all capable of unspeakable things.

It’s awful all the same. Poor girl – makes me so sad. God rest her soul and may God bless the poor family. I don’t even want to think about what this would do to a family. I mean no disrespect to anyone. If you don’t agree with my worldview, I respect that.

  • You can’t just lump all Presbyterians into one basket. Not all denominations are the same. Far from it.

  • @CYMRY

I’m not sure you understood the comment. PCUSA is just one of many denominations that calls itself Presbyterian. It is definitely not an all inclusive group of all American Presbyterian denominations. PCUSA just happens to be (probably?) the most liberal. PCA (Presbyterian Church in America) is much more conservative (Biblical, that is – I won’t sugar coat it), and OPC (Orthodox Presbyterian) is still more conservative. My point is that “Presbyterian” can now mean pretty much anything, as can any denomination, really. Denominations are meaning less and less these days. For instance, I used to be a member of a PCA church. (Actually, several over the years) They are largely Bible believing, devout Christians, as far as I can discern. However, we recently uncovered serious corruption in the leadership of our local PCA church. I won’t tell you which one, but it was so subtle that most of the congregants still have no idea. You can’t take anything for granted anymore. You have to be discerning as a Christian and appeal to God for wisdom. Let’s not kid ourselves: -there are serious problems beneath the facade of the American Church – even in the churches we think are among the best. No church is immune from spiritual attack. We have to stop compromising and stop being complacent. Unless we continually appeal to God Himself for unwavering steadfastness, we are in serious trouble as a nation.

  • 23 More People Dead in Bloody Mexican Drug Wars

    In reply to oswell.

So, let’s hypothetically assume that repealing anti drug laws miraculously dries up nearly all of the drug money down there. Will the cartels suddenly see the light and stop killing each other and everyone else?

While I’m at it, let’s say we ban the sale of all the nebulously defined assault weapons stateside. Will the cartels stop killing each other and everyone else?

Hey, if the magic solutions work, I’m all for them, but they sure seem to defy human nature. Believe what you want, but criminals almost always remain criminals, and these guys are demonstrably very resourceful. Swiper, no swiping! (Aw, mannnnnnn!) It works in the humanist cartoons…

  • @Gingerland:

You said “Alynn a fetus/embryo are not human beings, they MAY become one, I have a feeling a lot of home schooling is going on, because if you took biology you would get that.”

How do you know? Because your biology teacher told you so? Ah, so the educators and experts know best. Isn’t scientific method supposed to encourage the scientist not to take any information for granted? (Not that I have a scientific degree or anything. What do I know?) Prove it’s not a human. You’ll say, “prove it is.” Dogma does not constitute science, even when the “experts” make their claim. Please try again – circular logic and having a feeling doesn’t convince me as a scientist and engineer. Neither of us can prove or disprove that a fetus or embryo is or is not a human being. (except by changing the definition, which is certainly something, but it’s not science.)

Hint: insulting people, stereotyping them, and then insulting an entirely unrelated demographic of people who educate their own children does not exactly compel people to believe your argument. (Unless, of course, they already agree with you. So what was your point, anyway?)

  • @blackdontcrack2012

You said, “you hide behind this website with your comments be a man show yourself don’t be a chump or biatch !”

So why do you go to a comment board, then? Are you here to show your love of conservatives and conservative news? Are you here to spread the good will from your kinsmen?

You speak of being “a man.” If we had more men in the world, there would be a lot less hatred. If you want to be a man, suffer ignorance and turn the other cheek. Suck it up and smile. Refuse to hate back. Love people even when they’re being knuckleheads, like a lot of foolish posters on here. Love people even when they hate you or threaten you. Assume the best of people and give them the benefit of the doubt. (Hint: ask yourselves where these attributes come from.)

As long as there are human beings, there will be hatred and ignorance, but if more “men” took the initiative to actively love their neighbors instead of fanning the flames and fomenting willful ignorance, many of our race problems would go away.

I refuse to hate you. I refuse to play the game, no matter who plays it. You should know that it breaks the hearts of many true, but quiet conservatives in that it‘s nearly impossible to convey to black folks that we’re not your enemy and we’ve got nothing against you. Love people and seek truly blind, equal treatment. Question what anyone tells you about anything. Take no information for granted. All of us, stop being jerks to each other
