  I though NC didn‘t have a teacher’s union…Maybe it‘s just some schools do and some don’t? I could be wrong, but I recall a friend of mine who is a teacher there saying that. If so, this teacher should be fired simply for incompetence if anything else.

  If it were my child, he/she would be pulled out of that class until the school found a suitable replacement – with that being someone who actually understood social studies… Kudos to the kid and kid’s parents for teaching them the facts.

  How is the smoker not forcing their will on the family in the article? Moving is difficult to do these days if you own.

  Many of these comments remind me of how ignorant people can be. I actually have direct experience with this issue myself due to an unruly neighbor who flat out refuses any type of compromise. Most of you if not all have no idea what it’s like to live in a place where you are bombarded with cigarette smoke non-stop. It is infuriating. I am actually in the process of trying to move myself because of it, but it’s not that easy ladies and gents.

  The article clearly states the people complaining attempted a peaceful resolution and some neighbors would not comply. You have your right to poison your body as much as you want with that garbage, but as soon as you begin poisoning my son or my daughter’s body with your disgusting habit, I do have a major problem with it. Why won’t their neighbor smoke inside their own house? Why is it ok for them to have their habit directly effect others despite it originating from their own property? If I blast my stereo at 3AM, would the police not come to my door telling me to stop? Cali is crazy more often than not, but I feel this conversation is fair considering the situation.

  This crowd is supposed to be better than those at HuffPo, MSNBC, the DailyKos, etc…Yet many of these comments tell a very different story. We are as polarized as ever and many are incapable of logical thought anymore.

  All of you supposed Christians telling Kank and other mormans they aren’t Christians are hypocrites to the 100th degree. Who are you to cast judgement on someone else’s faith? Practice what you preach and love thy neighbor, whether you agree with them or not. I am appalled for you and your lack of Chrisitan principles.

  How about Bachmann suing the activist for breach of confidentiality? When a person comes into a counseling session it is meant to be kept between the person and the counselor. On top of that, if the person asks to be cured of something it is within every right of the counselor to try anything they can to help that person.

  I am so tired of gay activists and radicals doing everything they can to twist and spin a news story in order to try and bring a candidate that threatens them down. They are terrorists in their own right. Being gay is a choice, stop throwing it in my face at every turn. I do not accept your choice and you ARE NOT equal to me in any way, shape, or form. You were born with equal rights. The choices you make do not grant you new ones.

  I do not really care how you act in the bedroom. Why is it the topic of so many news stories how people act sexually? I don’t share my bedroom activities with you so do not share yours with me.

  Grow up children. Many of you are acting like the lefties…Stop harping on NS like this and look at actual credentials and ability to bring real change to this joke we have for a government. I would have signed this too, with or without the statement comparing how black kids were raised during slavery and our current times. It may be rough language for some of you little pansies out there who can’t take the truth very well, but too bad sometimes the truth hurts. If this statement is true, which I don’t see being reported on, then it is very telling now isn’t it? But hey, let’s spend hours debating how horrible slavery was (everyone agrees it was) and how bad words hurt our precious little feelings. None of you posting about it have experienced (you, yourself) the slavery being referenced so why don’t you drop the garbage and hate campaign you have for a strong, conservative woman.

  You would think people would have learned this playbook already from Palin, but sadly sheep are still sheep.

  Considering your response to Jman is riddled with unbelievable arrogance, I would venture to guess you fit the mold of the godless in this survey quite well. You‘re probably the type that corrects a typo in another’s post too. Only those who are desperate to prove their worth cite their educational background on Internet message boards like it qualifies them of saying anything!

  Atheism in itself is a religion with their God being Pride, for you cannot be an atheist without thoroughly loving yourself more than anything in the world. If you have doubts about God a true measure of intelligence would be to hold yourself as an agnostic, since they are smart enough to understand that they cannot possibly know conclusively if there is a God or not.

  Personally, I laugh every time I hear someone claim to be an atheist as it screams to me that they are lazy, narcissistic, unscientific, and frankly unintelligent.

  I love how quick people are to jump to conclusions. Pit-Bulls are incredible dogs and that is a FACT. Do some research before sounding off on comment boards and sounding like an ignorant piece of trash. It has EVERYTHING to do with the owners and how they raised the animal. any dog, treated unkindly and aggressively can turn into a weapon. I wish the media would cover when everyone’s favorite German Shepard mauls an elderly person or child. That would be something, now wouldn’t it.

  On top of all this, how completely hypocritical it is to be a follower of this conservative/libertarian site while making ignorant comments such as “Outlaw this breed.” I would vote to outlaw your opening your mouth as it is far more dangerous than any dog’s could ever be.

  Absolutely agree with you Cloudnine. Very ignorant comments by Catb to say the least. Probably an owner of one of those little rat dogs..You can ban the breed once we ban people who make ignorant comments like your on websites…how about that?

  It is always the owner. Are some breeds naturally more aggressive than others? Yes. Does that make them killers? NO! It has absolutely everything to do with the owner and how the dog is treated and trained.
