  @the_united_states_of_britain; How about some statistics on the use of deadly weapons i.e. knife assaults and whatnot that have risen due to the gun laws (I”m sure you know that they rose when your guns were taken away)? Add that together with your statistics and you are not that much different then the U.S……It is much easier to pull a gun in defense then a knife when defending yourself especially if you are a little old lady, so now the law abiding citizen is left defenseless in Britain while the thug just changed their tactics…

  Why are the police not using the non-lethal weapons on these idiots like the Microwave dish that you point a someone and it heats them up disbursing them immediately or the foam you spay that hardens locking the perpetrator down, bean bag machine guns, how about using the IRS against them, hell they use them against law abiding citizens….

  BTW We were attcked on 9/11 and the U.S. Senate gave Pres. Bush the authorization (per the Constitution) to go to war. Oh and by the way the Senate did the same for Iraq.

  So in hind sight was our attack on Iraq a good idea, what did we gain…did we get a strategic strong hold in the middle east? Are we sharing in the oil revenues of their country….what did we gain other then pain and anguish….what did our enemy gain, a battle field in order to throw cannon fodder at us and hone their own warrior skills….we wage war with kit gloves…

  Personally after dropping the warrior mentality and bravado I took a step back. Now looking at the loss of friends and the debt to our nation I can no longer support our war machine that does nothing, but attempt to nation build with no benefit to the American people….it is all B.S. and Ron Paul is about the only sane one in the bunch….

  Money, it cost money to upgrade and meet the standards of the so called clean air act, the coal industry doesn’t stand a chance as government and all are against them in order to push alternative agendas, so what if Americans have to foot the bill or can’t afford the alternatives…..the planet will be here in a billion years, we won’t as it will shrug us off, in the mean time lets try to make it more difficult for normal people to provide for themselves and keep their families warm….

  Dawkins didn’t start out fighting, he presented evidence and thought a various subjects, until challenged with non nonsensical evidence over and over again, now he is always presented as augmentative, why not he is probably plain disgusted with nonsensical arguments with no real validity expect for a poorly written history/fables book….give this guy time, he to will have to raise his voice and shake his head when attempting to discuss or teach reasoning 101….

  I see nothing wrong with having a religious studies class pertaining to history and the development of cultures. However, it needs to be all inclusive, how did Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and Egyptian mythology form the various cultures around the world. Now this would open some eyes….Godbeless

  What, a book written by disgruntled Jews, rewritten by another group calling themselves Catholics, various stories decided to be put in the book by a King….come on you think this is bad, no it is just more PR for control of the masses, if politics won’t work, well religion sure will…..

  Torah, New Testament, Old Testament, these are nothing, but poorly written inaccurate historical musings in order to control a population and explain away the unknown of the times….So if this is true then what about Islam, Mormons, Lutherans, Protestants…Yep you guessed it all formed and guided by twisted logic and history written by the control freaks of their time…..On that note the dead sea-scrolls actually show more of a history in the development of Christianity, but the catholic church kept that hidden for years….

  Religion is all about control, nothing but control, how do you get control, take the disgruntled less educated populace and give them an idea an objective to release their pain…how about OWS? Seems to be working for the current socialist pimping politicians in charge at the moment…
