  I don’t know what the hoopla is about. It sounded like Steven Tyler – on a good day – to me. The guy’s a rock-and-roll star, not a classical vocalist. What do people expect?

  After reading the critique, I was expecting him to have been singing flat, missing notes, and changing the melody to accommodate his aging vocal chords. What I heard was just the singer from Aerosmith doing a pretty damn good job singing the national anthem.
