  • Did Taxpayers Wildly Overpay to Clear Way for a Hockey Arena?

    February 25, 2012 at 11:31am

    In reply to HKS.

I would love to have the Blaze do a special report on one of the most politically corrupt areas in the nation. Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton (ABE) while Easton isn’t as bad as the other two sister cities it is still considered part of the liberal machine.

Allentown has this debacle with the hockey arena, while Bethlehem has a Mayor who has illegally shifted money and gets a free pass all the time from his buddies in the government. All the while a number of non profits received about $50 million dollars in local, state, and federal grants.

Are they feeding the poor? Are they clothing the homeless?

    NO!

They’re an entertainment complex that holds concerts and shows ind. films. Just one of their pieces of art cost upward of $400k, and the head of the “not for profit” pays himself a package worth $250k per year. But he donates to every liberal campaign, so he’s a team player and deserves to line his pockets with taxpayer dollars.

I really do wish The Blaze would do an indepth story on this area.

There is and never was any steel in Allentown. You‘re getting confused by Billy’s song. All of the steel was next door in Bethlehem, i.e. Bethlehem Steel Corporation which is no more.

The person who broke this is a local blogger named Bernie O’Hare, he’s been at this story like a dog on a bone and deserves a whole lot of credit!

  • Hey RangerP,

    You’re wrong and how!

http://www.gallup.com/poll/6961/What-Percentage-Population-Gay.aspx — The numbers are actually about 10% of Americans are strictly homosexual and about 10% of Americans are strictly heterosexual. That leaves 80%. Where do THOSE people fit in? Do you have a slander for them too?

http://marriage101.org/divorce-rates-in-america/ — About 50% of marriage ends in divorce usually as a result of cheating. Want to cast stones at the people who are divorced too?

http://psychology.ucdavis.edu/rainbow/html/facts_molestation.html — The distinction between a victim‘s gender and a perpetrator’s sexual orientation is important because many child molesters don’t really have an adult sexual orientation. They have never developed the capacity for mature sexual relationships with other adults, either men or women. Instead, their sexual attractions focus on children.

I’m starting to think you are not big on research or learning.

http://www.thebody.com/h/which-race-ethnicity-category-has-the-highest-number-of-cases-diagnosed-with-hiv-aids.html — African Americans are the group most affected by HIV. In 2009, African Americans comprised 14% of the US population but accounted for 44% of all new HIV infections.

Dude, seriously! Are you living with your mom and 15 cats, sitting in the basement with tin foil on your head, yelling at her that you‘ll be up for lunch as soon as you’re done talking with your online friends?

  • RangerP,

I have sat here and read the pure hatred you have been spewing in the form of idiotic remarks. You are not the judge and jury of anything, let alone how conservative a gay man is or can be. Given your personality type I’m certain that you enjoy bashing gays. It is because of people like you (liars, bigots, and homophobes) that gays and lesbians flock to the left’s open arms.

I’m gay, I don’t have syphilis, I don’t touch little boys, I don’t dress like a woman, I don’t try to bring down society, and I don’t carry or spread AIDS. However I do believe in God, I am conservative, I served in the USMC, I’m in a commited relationship, I’m involved in local politics, I ran for public office, and the Dems did the same exact thing to me as they did to the Sheriff. They found a round about way to bring up the fact that I’m a gay Republican. You see, if you met me you‘d never know I’m gay. They used vacation photos to “out” me three months after these same people passed an anti-discrimination law in the city.

The fact that I’m gay does not change the fact that I love America.

Funny thing, I didn’t see you comment on the boob staring story. Hmm, I guess that type of behavior is normal to you. A married man visually raping a woman!

But, then again “Methinks thou dost protest too much.”

  • Laughing My A$$ Off!!!

  • B_Rad,

As a gay conservative I share in your condemnation of this type of backwards behavior. Personally I feel that the people who act out in this fashion are the type of personalities who feel that their parents didn’t give them enough attention and now they have to constantly get attention from anywhere even if it is negative attention. I know a number of gays and lesbians who live productive, professional, private lives while still enjoying the freedom to be who they are and love who they want.

The reason most gay conservatives don’t “burst out of the closet” is because of what happened at CPAC this year. There are still groups in the conservative community who will never accept gays and lesbians. Conservative gays and lesbians get attacked from all sides and that is something that the liberals have figured out. Progressives give the illusion of acceptance when in reality they are forcing gays and lesbians into a life of childish behaviors and “gay ghettos”.

Imagine how much stronger the concervative movement would be if we just put our differences asside and respected one another for the common goals we have!

  • As a gay conservative, I find it amazing that those who fancy themselves God fearing or learned types do nothing but parrot hearsay or copy and paste propaganda. Instead of using your new fangled “Google machine” to try to make your point with empty non truths you should just look at history.

When did gays become a “problem”? If we were such a threat, why doesn’t the Constitution mention us?

The fact is that the founding fathers didn’t care what religion a person was, who they were attracted to, who they lived with, what education level one had, etc. What they cared about was whether or not a person shared in the same core values and honored those. The conservative movement could win a whole lot of votes if they would just learn to convey this to gays. Right now the only open arms they have are those of the liberals. These liberals teach them that going to bars every night of the week, rejecting religion, having promiscuous sex, etc. is normal and accepted behavior. It has gotten to the point that the “gay community” is on autopilot with this and most have bought into the hype.

However, if you sit down and ask most gays and lesbians about working hard, self reliance, financial conservatism, charity, community, etc. They will most likely show you they are very conservative in their beliefs.

What would happen if you gave them a choice? What would happen if you told them that they are free men and women and nobody is going to judge them but God? What would happen if you told them that they don’t need marriage laws, because that’s a religious institution and not a duty of government?

The detractors on this comment thread are doing nothing more than falling into the trap liberals have set for them. Stop trying to be like them and think for yourself!

  • And yet these are the same people who probably just shrug off what brave men suffered at the “Frozen Chosin”. Leave them in a train that is dry, sheltered from wind, and with food for ten hours and all of a sudden it’s a “life changing event”.

  • And, people will camp out for two weeks to get the lattest version of said chains!

  • Maybe I can bedazzle some head scarves and call that a movement as well. Because there is a much deeper meaning to it all, it will be the balance between “a whore and a devout person” and empower women by pushing them back 2000 years.
