  • Attorney? Meth head, more like. A few more hits and he’ll be Eddie Van Halen.

  • Huh…only slightly more foot traffic in these Chinese ghost malls than in my own local ghost mall. I think there are more stores in there covered with cheery painted plywood than there are actual people trying to do business. Hey…the movie theater is still operating, even if the Bon Ton is closing its doors.

I bet Wal-Mart could figure out a way to use the space. It’s still really nice in there, but not for long if the owners continue bleeding cash.

  • Notice the freak says “unsafe” rather than “illegal”? You mount a surveillance operation on my property, which is zoned for shooting, and your remote control helicopter is getting blasted out of the sky too.

What happens on my property, if legal, is none of your business, peeping tom.

  • “It’s wrong to carry a gun,” sez Holder. Well, the police do it every day.

Does Holder think it’s wrong for the police? The military? Himself? Nope. It’s wrong for you, slave.

  • Sorry, but the .40 SW cartridge was developed to produce the exact power of the 10mm FBI load in a smaller frame. The FBI developed the ‘lite’ load because it determined that the 10mm at full power was way too wild and woolly to use as a duty round. The moment it was discovered that the FBI’s detuned 10mm was easily manufacturable in a shorter casing for a more compact weapon possessing identical performance, .40 SW was born. I carry and train with .40 Smith, and shoot .45 ACP at the range for fun.

Why? Because even the .40 Smith is a bit unpleasant to shoot, while you can shoot a standard 1911 all day and have nothing but fun. For combat purposes I favor .40 Smith because it has good power and well-engineered bullets from multiple makers, and capacity is functionally double that of the 1911. In other words, it gives me a better chance in a fight. But the 1911 is more fun to shoot.

  • Simper fi? You insulting the Marines now? Simpering is a synonym for “whimpering, whining, crying.”

    Simper fi yourself.

  • What a ridiculous gun to have. Awesome to demonstrate as a curiosity, but not a real weapon you’d want in a fight.

Ruger has put out what is perhaps the best performing 1911 for the money, and you can buy two of them for a fraction of what this one costs. That’s double the preparedness. Keep one in your bedside lockbox, carry the other. Use the savings to buy 5000 rounds of combat ammo plus another 5000 rounds of Winchester white box for the range.

The Ruger is my next firearm purchase. It’s less money than a new iPad, can save your life and your family in a jam, and will last many years longer. Sometimes hundred-year-old technology really is the best.

  • I will pray for you.

  • Sure glad the bad guys aren’t using modern weapons yet. If that puke had been using a modern hammerless gun our hero would be dead right now.

  • Let me guess: Scots Irish.
