  I don’t understand the birther objection. If one of your parents is an American, it has been the law that you are automatically an American citizen. My daughter was born in Germany and we drove to the embassy and got her a U.S. birth certificate. George Romney was born in Mexico and no one objected when he ran for president in the 60′s. There are a lot of reasons to oppose the election of Obama as president, he is unqualified, for example, but does anyone question that his mother was a US citizen?

  Those who are putting him down because he may be in line some day for a Nobel prize are getting the Nobel Peace Prize mixed up with those awarded for science. The science committees have awarded the prize in the past for people who invented the transistor and optical fibers. Hardly controversial.

  Mr. O’Donnell’s opinion has been here since the beginning of history.

  From 1Cor Chapters 1 & 2

  Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
  For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
  For…the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto…the Greeks foolishness.
  But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.
  …Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the ear of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

  And from 2Ne 9:28

  O the vainess and the frailties, and the foolishness of men! When they are learned they think they are wise, and they hearken not unto the counsel of God, for they set it aside, supposing they know of themselves, wherefore, their wisdom is foolishness and it profiteth them not. And they will perish.

  I will be adding Larry O’Donnell to my prayers. May God soften his heart that he may hear the Holy Ghost and follow the Lord.
