  • Personally I don’t believe in premarital sex. It’s destroying our youth. But their argument to that would be that what they do in their bedroom is none of my business. In that case, my business (a.k.a momey) has no place in their bedroom.

  • I think they’re simply trying to cut down on the need for pumping criminals full of lead. Less controversary. Better to develop these things when there is little/no need than to wait for a good reason and then take years to get a working model. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t put anything past the O-adminstration and OWS people, but I really don’t think there is anything nefarious about this.

  • I don‘t understand the opposition that I’ve been seeing here. Why are we constantly trying to “not harm” those that mean us harm? If the assailant’s vision is affected long term, maybe those little lights he sees in his field of vision for the rest of life will act as a reminder of why he shouldn’t act stupid. The fear that there is some sort of nefarious reason the gov’t has for developing non-lethal weapons is ridiculous. While I don‘t trust the gov’t one bit, I do believe they are trying to avoid controversy by simply deterring someone from doing a crime rather than simply pumping them full of lead.

  • There’s a difference between using a nickname or changing your name legally and signing contracts with a false name. I‘ve had people pose as me before and hurt my finances and I believe that’s what is being discussed here. Nobody is saying that you cannot use a nickname, call yourself Snoop if you want, but if you want to sign a contract on any level, using a name that is not legally yours should have consequences and the loss of your 4th Amendment rights should only be the beginning.

@ RangerP — That should read Translinear, not translinea. It has the original text in the original characters in one column. Directly below each original line of text is the direct English word for word translation. In the next column there is another popular version of the Bible (we chose the NASB) of the exact same passage. You get to read the original text and see what the author wrote and then see how it was translated and you get to decide for yourself if that translation does justice to what the author said. It really is worth the investment and really eye opening when it comes to finding out the true meaning of the scripture.
    God Bless.

@RangerP I admire your faith and share it, most of it anyways. But you should know that the King James version of the Bible is the admittedly by Bible scholars the most errored translation of the Bible is wide circulation and the most common version to cause misinterpretation of the scripture. Niether Jesus nor God or any other historical figure mentioned in the Bible, spoke with thees, thys, thous, walkeths, talkeths, speakeths, etc. as there are no translations for such words in either Hebrew, Greek, or Arabic. No translations for such words. The language used in the King James version of the Bible was strickly a language of entertainment during the time King James had it translated to English. Besides, it was never widely spoken by anyone for that matter. And since neither you nor I read the Bible for the purpose of being entertained, but rather for instruction on how to live, it makes sense to read a Bible that is written in the spoken language of today. Afterall, Jesus spoke in the popular language of the day, not just because he was raised speaking that way, but in order to reach the widest number of followers. The King James version is beautiful for its flowery prose, but not if you really want a deep understanding what’s being said by those we hold so dear. Look for a Translinea Bible that has the original text translated word for word and you’ll be able to find a version of the Bible that is more correct in translation. God Bless.

  • Typical arrogant lefty. He demands respect where none has been earned. Someone questioned how Obama has seemed to be able to find dozens of POS’s. Well the answer is simple: He, himself, is a POS and has surrounded himself (once again) with those he’s most comfortable with–those of like mind. He holds this country and the American way of life in contempt. It only makes sense that his staff does as well.

  • Arrogant POS just like the man who put him office.

  • RangerP and Patty Henry, I agree with what both of you have said. 1st off, nobody, not a single one of the candidates running, would be worse than BHO. 2nd, I forget which one said it, but he did keep Clinton at bay for a good long time and that’s what we need, someone to keep the dems at bay. Romney over Newt?!? WTH! Romeny has been on both sides of most of the issues most U.S. citenzens think are important. He’s going to say what needs to be said to get the job regardless of what he beleives.

  • I’ve been patted down every time I have gone into an airport for the last 12 years due to health issues and it has never bothered me. I don’t understand the angst over it. I’d rather be felt up than blown up. I do understand the aversion to having little kids patted down, but as soon as we exclude one group of people from pat downs, that’s the group that will be used to breach the system.
