  TL: the thing is that since we went off the gold standard oh so long ago…our MONEY itself is symbolic…there is nothing backing it up other than peoples faith that it is worth something…it is basically a lie that we all agree to make true…it works just fine until one big institution, and the US govt is basically the cornerstone upon which the dollar (all the other currencies sit upon) rests, breaks the rules, and breaks people’s faith and trust that these llitle green slips of paper are worth more than scratchy toilet paper…

  i prefer the term used by hispanic US citizens in my largely hispanic hometown of Socorro, NM: mojados (wet ones)….i think that mexicans feeling the term ‘illegal alien’ is offensive to them is racist in the extreme…just because they can walk across the border gives them SUCH an unfair advantage over the millions of chinese that would flood our country if they didnt have to swim the pacific ocean…i mean since they base their ‘offense on a sheer numbers game…
