  Yes, it‘s quite clear you don’t argue from a position of logic. Pro-marriage = more marriage? No. It means you’re “for getting married”.

  I can be pro-marriage when I suggest young people shouldn’t “hook up”, but should marry so their likely offspring will grow up in a stable, 2-parent home. That’s a single example of how your False Choice Fallacy (there are only 2 choices, mine and your horribly wrong one) falls apart.

  Your later False Choice Fallacy hints at your elitism, that you can know what someone’s really thinking and feeling without even talking to them. It’s insulting, to say the least. Do you think you have special powers other humans don’t have? Do you think you’re God? Do you think you’re so smart, you can discern other peoples’ thoughts and motives regardless of what they say or how they behave?

  Because you can’t always tell, and not everyone behaves the same under the influence.

  I’ve gotten on to planes quite inebriated a few times in my day. The attendants don’t give me a second look, because I’m not loud, obnoxious, nor do I stumble about. I focus long enough to get into my seat and crash out.

  So, it comes back to freedom, really. You must be free to do as you like UNTIL YOU CROSS THE LINE.

  Those are excellent points, Mutiny. If you believe that Conservatives support Romney on those points, you’d be a fool. Yet, Conservatives will still vote for him, because he’s still not as dangerous as the radical Marxist, President Obama.

  Romney’s a mild Progressive Socialist by comparison. I don’t like it. I can’t stand Romney, but it’s the best shot we have to keep the country from accelerating toward Communism. That is, the acceleration is much more gradual with Romney at the wheel.
