  • Obamacare is worth getting angry about.

Not sure why Romney said that. I get that he wants to avoid exhibiting an angry demeanor. But he definitely should be angry if he wants my vote.

  • The thing I don’t get is the Rockefeller/Goldwater complaint.

Weren’t all supporters of Rockefeller eventually supporters of Goldwater? Assuming they were good party members, that is.

Gingrich supported Rockefeller … then he supported Goldwater. Makes sense to me.

  • Thanks to Ann, I’ve learned to endure a lot of heat defending political flame-throwers.

Now she’s telling me true conservatives are demure, speak in measured tones, and seek the approval of independents foremost.

    Huh?

    @JRook

You‘re living proof of another one of Obama’s boondoggles. He keeps telling us he’s spending money on literacy and education, and yet you don’t appear to have learned to read.

I said “I thought it had some merit the first time he stuck it in the stimulus.”

He’s spent the money over and over again and nothing is getting fixed. Now I realize it’s just a ploy to steal more money and hand it off to his campaign contributors.

@Smee-again, I suspect you have a pantry full of snake oil you’ve bought from Barack Obama. Maybe you can re-sell it on ebay.

In each speech Obama announces he needs our money for infrastructure projects. He takes the money. His friends and campaign supporters get rich. The infrastructure projects don’t get done.

Then in the next speech he again announces he needs our money for the same infrastructure projects.

At least one good thing came from FDR’s New Deal spending extravaganza … we actually got some infrastructure out of it that we still use today.

Obama has spent (in inflation adjusted dollars) about 12 times more than the New Deal. One would expect to see 12 times more infrastructure projects completed.

    Can you name one? One?

Apparently you‘ve never been scammed before and don’t know what a scam feels like. It feels just like this.

Seriously. How many times are we going to pay for “updates to the aging power grid”?

I thought it had some merit the first time he stuck it in the stimulus. But after Obama mentioned the power grid improvements in every tax increase / stimulus speech for the last 3 years, I‘m starting to realize we’re being billed over and over for projects that aren’t happening.

Meanwhile, his cronies keep getting richer and richer from stimulus funds and his campaign war-chest grows at the same rate.

  • I quit calling myself a Tea Partier when it became evident there are a few people out there self-righteously declaring themselves unelected “Tea Party Leaders” and spouting all kinds of nonsense.

I didn’t vote for a Tea Party leader. So either you’re a member of the Tea Party speaking for yourself. Or you’re a self aggrandizing fool trying to leverage me and my friends for your own benefit.

  • Why can’t the media provide us with a list of these “code words” upfront so we could avoid them.

They only seem to be able to spot them after the fact.

  • Cavuto lost me with “King is an excellent journalist …”

In what sense? Please. Can Cavuto or anyone remind me of the tough questions King has asked Obama?

The point is NOT that Gingrich should never be asked tough questions. But that Obama IS never asked tough questions.

  • Slavery primarily produced cotton and sugar at artificially low cost.
These were exported to Europe at artificially low prices.
Even today, we see the Europeans living off the bounty of that arrangement.

But for the money they saved in the 19th century, could Europe have afforded socialism in the 20th century.

Sounds like the European socialists owe restitution.
