  Go, Papa Bene!!! As a Catholic woman (Discalced Carmelite), I signed on to “live the evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity, and obedience” just as religious sisters, nuns, brothers, and priests have done for close to 2,000 years. We enter religious life embracing obedience to Christ, as expressed in the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. Jesus calls all people to a life of humility, especially we who commit ourselves entirely to Him.

  All Catholics are called to practice the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy. Foremost is spiritual well being. Yet, many American religious have run off the rails. Sidetracked by Corporal Works of Mercy, we fail to help people connect with the foundation of Faith thru Spiritual Works of Mercy thru which millions of sick, poor, tormented people find hope despite their struggles. Daily, we see that the focus on health, wealth, self-esteem–the pleasure factor promoted by progressives’ “equality and fraternity”– do little to help people connect with goodness and happiness. Example: most people worldwide do not live as comfortably as America’s poor. If corporal well being led people to happiness, the richest, free-est nation in history, the US, would be utopia. • Opponents Push New Efforts to De-fund & Discredit Planned Parenthood

  Planned Parenthood’s primary business is abortion, whether performing surgical abortions, writing prescriptions for chemical abortions, or referring naive girls to use over the counter abortifacients. You need look no farther than Planned Parenthood’s own Annual Report to see this fact.

  Second, if you read Margaret Sanger’s autobiography, you will see that there was no debate in her mind about her major aim. By her own proud, explicit, declaration, her goal was to eliminate what she considered to be the riff raff of society — minorities and the disabled. That goal continues in force today. Planned Parenthood purposefully targets minorities in their abortion business, locating their “clinics” primarily in minority neighborhoods.

  The Blaze has posted an extremely biased report on Planned Parenthood. The story says nothing about Planned Parenthood’s mega-campaign contributions to elected officials who then pass legislation friendly to Planned Parenthood and refund Planned Parenthood with taxpayer dollars. This is essentially recycling taxpayer dollars to promote the abortion agenda.

  Planned Parenthood is a self-serving, predatory business that is using tax-payer dollars to violate the civil and human rights of the most innocent, defenseless among us — our children. Over 50,000,000 (fifty million) of our children have been sacrificed by the abortion business (in the US alone). Compare that headcount to the number of people who died in the Holocaust. Planned Parenthood is responsible for a very large number of these abortions.

  The discovery that the Managing Editor of The Blaze wrote this apology for Planned Parenthood and paints them as the victim forces me to question the validity of other information coming out of The Blaze. What a shame.

  Lots of people talk about what Islam is and what it isn’t based on second or third hand information. If you really want to understand this political system and its goals, you should read the Koran for yourself — a translation of the Koran done for Muslims, not a translation sanitized for propaganda purposes.

  Islam is a political system that joins church and state and impacts culture. Religion, according to the Koran, is a part of the governing system. Islam has a civil and criminal law system (Sharia) and a military. The Koran lays out just what a practicing Muslim MUST do and codifies it in Sharia law. According to the Koran, lying, cheating, pretending, and killing are all acceptable ways — and even required ways — of dealing with those who do not willingly submit to Islam and its laws. It is the duty of all practicing Muslims to work towards the institution of Sharia law wherever they may live. Muslims try to insert Sharia as a legal system parallel with existing laws until the Muslim influence is strong enough to eliminate the competing legal system. They use to their advantage Western “diversity” laws and civil sensibilities to defend the spread of their intolerant beliefs. Where Muslim influence reaches critical mass, they exert military force (formal troops and para-military activists likeHamas and terrorists) to overpower a competing system unwilling to submit. History tells this story of Islam aggression over and over for the last 1,400 years.

  But why take my word for it? Read it for yourself. Try a translation that traditional Muslims use, not a politically correct version for Western consumption that uses language and mistranslations sanitized for our civil standards and “diversity” laws. Traditional translations of the Koran present the unvarnished reality of the totalitarian, violent, and abusive practices promoted by Islam.

  According to the The Koran, God is the Master and humans are His slaves (Sura 19:93). This idea establishes the model for the relationships between people: one of slavery and submission. (The very word “Islam” means submission.) In regard to human relations, the Koran teaches that violence is the way to achieve submission. For example, Sura 4:34 indeed permits husbands to hit their wives if they are not submissive – when the translation accepted by almost all Muslims is followed. Regarding jihad, the indisputable, final word from Mohammed on this is in Sura 9:1-6: “fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war). But if they repent (become Muslim), and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them.” Modern promoters of Islam sanitize violent passages like this to make them politically correct. Modern promoters of Islam also attempt to say that other moderate teachings found in the Koran cancel out the violent, abusive, totalitarian teachings. But these promoters of Islam know or have forgotten that Mohammed himself established “abrogation” when interpreting the Koran. This means that earlier teachings are cancelled out by later (in chronology), contradictory teachings. In our example above, Sura 9:1-6 was composed at the end of Mohammed’s life so it cancels out any previous Sura like “all men should live in peace as brothers.” Also, beware: the Suras (Chapters of the Koran) are not organized chronologically but they MUST be interpreted chronologically.

  To wrap this up, compare these concepts: Allah is a slave-master and Islam is a slavish political system that must conquer its adherents, demands submission, and tolerates no equal footing of unbelievers here on earth. Western civilization is based on the Judeo-Christian belief that God is Love, that Christ invites humans to a conversion of heart — not to submission to a particular form of government, and that His Kingdom is not of this world.
