  • My vote is to just get the government out of the marriage business. In that, I agree with Glen. Let contract law decide the legality of a union. Reduce it to 1 + 1 = 2. One person may enter into a union with one other person. Note that a “union” certainly doesn’t need to be sexual. They would gain visitation, inheritance, insurance (althougth insurance laws would need to be trimmed), property rights, etc. Marriage should be at a religious level. If a religion allows a man to marry a man or a woman to marry a woman fine. But they get NO legal rights. They would need a legal “union” for that. Any that would work for all sorts of situation, like polyamory, triads, etc. Only 2 in this senario would have a “union”. However I wouldn’t necessarily mind seeing more limited contract law appling to others for hospital visitaion and such. Let’s get LESS government, not more. Let’s get the government out of our personal lives.

  • Well, you certainly can have your opinion on this. But I, and seemingly most others, respectfully disagree. I am certainly not ashamed to say that my wife and I have a few of these products and our marriage has never been stronger. We are coming up on our 20th anniversary in a little over a month and we are much closer and have a better relationship than at any other time. You can believe what you want, but the facts are this really does help a lot of relationships.

  • You’re and idiot. There is nothing wrong with working at Hooters. Sorry you are so incredibly ignorant and petty.

  • Why is it so bad to work at Hooters? It is just another job. They certainly wear more than people at the beach. Heck, I see more skin at the YMCA. She has a job. She is working hard and has higher ambitions in life. I see this complaint as one of America’s biggest problems. This theory that you should only have a “professional” job. America not only needs white-collar jobs, but also servers, plumbers, ditch-diggers, farmers, factory workers, etc. All the “dirty” blue collar jobs. Work is GOOD for America. This theory that certain jobs are unworthy is just ridiculous. I applaud those who do the work others look down on. Much better than collecting benefits for doing nothing. She is proud to be a hard working American. It is a stepping stone for her. I see no problem holder her as an example.

  • Wow…I am shocked by the comments. No wonder the left thinks we are a bunch of uptight loonies! The American version of holloween is certainly not satanic. Geez people, lighten up. It may have started as a pagan holy day and been used by satanic groups long ago, but that is not what it is today. It is kids having fun. It is watching scary movies and laughing at our fears. The days of the week are largely based on Norse mythology…I gues they must be bad, too. Oh my, the months are based on Roman mythology…how terrible. Holloween is just a day that is used to have fun. It is as satanic as Santa Clause is Christian or Easter is about bunnies. You can certainly be a good Christian and not be uptight. In fact, the more uptight you are the worse of an example of Christianity you are. Where is forgiveness and understanding? Where is living the life you were blessed with? Geez!

  • Ah…what would life be like without the inane ramblings of ENCINOM? Actually I am quite glad you continue to make remarks like this. They just support all the other posters’ positions and prove how truly stupid the ultra-left is. So…keep up the good work. And remember, sometimes it is better to be thought stupid than to open your mouth (or type on a keyboard) and prove it.

  • Wow…these idiots are in for a world of hurt. Want war? OK, bring it. I am pretty sure none of these idiots have any training (or a clue for that matter) and probably would piss themselves with a warning shot from my .357. That would be one warning shot. The next “warning” would be their kneecap dissappearing into red mist and bone chips.

  • Worst….Administration……EVER!

  • I would move the call centers and as much support as possible to right-to-works states so fast it would make their heads spin. I would also contract out all the line work and not have it done by unionized Verizon workers. And if that didn’t work (i.e. you could not get contractors because they are union) I would litterally discontinue service in these states and pull out. Screw it. I think that is what all the companies should do. Yes, it would suck to be a regular joe in this area and lose service because of union thugs, but maybe that would put a damper on unions and show people how much they truly cost everone else.

  • Anthony Bourdain is a nob. I would guess that since he really doesn’t have much of an audience he is going for publicity. I would also guess he is a bit jealous of her success. And with as much as he smokes I can’t believe he would be able to tell what something really tasted like. And why isn’t he feeding the hungry. Or fighting obesity (since he used that as an attack)? What a tool.
