  • Don’t get too wrapped up in whether or not he blasted another candidate as a general rule. I would prefer that the candidates didn’t do that either, however, that is one arena we have lost the debate in. The media has focused the majority of this country into soundbite sized attention spans. While unfortunate, it is now neccessary to differentiate yourself as a candidate by pointing out your opponents failures. Since Cain pointed out the most polite failure of Perry, and didn’t start a idiology shooting war with immigration or the vaccine thing, I choose to take that as a plus. We need a candidate who can pick battles while pointing out the differences between themselves and their opponent. After all, after this whole shebang, the real war with the media and Obama begins.

  • In some ways I agree. However, I would like to point out that what I‘m really looking for is a President who wouldn’t stand in the way of the end of the Fed. After all, a congressional subcommittee is the best place for this to happen. Here is exactly where I want Ron Paul. Of course he won’t be there, but as a member of a Presidential cabinet (hopefully) he could help put things on track for this end. I find Paul too narrowly focused on the fiscal agenda to be a great president, but he has the skills for an excellent treasury secretary, or something along those lines. The president shouldn’t do more than set party agenda, but the agenda doesn’t have everything we need the congress should press the right agenda anyway.

As long as Herman Cain doesn’t obstruct the move against the Fed, I am all for him. He has everything else I am looking for in a president.

  • Thanks Hobbs. Keep it up.

  • @oneyearsfood
That makes as much sense as, “You can take the white trash out of the trailer park, but you can’t take the trailer park out of the white trash.” Grow up twit.

Constantly using the word “They” to label people as a group seems like a leftist tactic to me. Individualists wouldn’t do that. I think we have a troll.

  • Again, ignorance on display. “It is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove any doubt.” Thanks for the laugh.

  • Aside from the racist element of your post, I find it funny that you’re accusing a black man of being emboldened to fight “whitey” when the other guy’s name was ORTIZ. Ignorance on display. Priceless.

BTW, just cause some blacks are violent toward whites doesn’t mean either race is innocent. Some whites are violent towards blacks too. Shouldn’t the course of action be to prosecute the violence of either side? Not pick a side and engage in racial violence? Who cares if the New Black Panthers and the Nazi Skinheads are fighting? I’m not going to join either side. I will defend myself against any violence, whether brought on by blacks or whites. But I will also regret that violence was neccessary.

  • Floyd will not be a damaged boxer unless he stays in the fight game too long. He very rarely takes serious damage during a fight. Mosely got in a few, so did Augustus and Castillo, and perhaps Corrales. But he’s never taken real damage consistently. I can’t stand him personally, but don‘t prognosticate about something you don’t really know. It doesn’t make you look smart.

  • I wonder why you and people like you have to continually post these messages. Some of us can handle different types of stories at the same time. I can watch football or boxing and think about the collapse of society and our monetary policy. If you can‘t that’s fine. But please, quit telling the rest of us that we can’t.

  • Mayweather did what he wanted to do. Not what he should have done. If he was really a champion he would act like it. And he never has. He has no class, but great talent. On technical skill, he will be rated as one of the all time greats. But never a true champion. Ortiz is a dirty fighter, sure. But Mayweather had the choice of whether or not he would stoop to that level, and stoop he did. Doesn’t make him blameless, but labels him as a hothead who will play dirty if he thinks he can get away with it. He doesn’t leave himself out there but takes the easiest path to a win. That is not the hallmark of a real champion. (or at least one the people will stand behind)

  • In fact, I know many kids who turn to boxing as a way to avoid the street thug lifestyle in their neighborhoods. They can fight and prove themselves without reverting to the gang and drug culture all around them. They learn respect and individualism while escaping the lifestyles of crime. So keep your condemnations to yourself until you actually know what you are speaking about.
