  what he said was this: once ALL wasteful spending is gone and IF we can still not meet our budget, we would then need to raise taxes; which is 100% correct.

  now we all know that the first part will never happen, so he can vote no on new taxes, but still claim to support them when that is the correct path. “I am not against raising taxes”

  i don’t see or have an issue with her using the “safety net”; that is what is is for and should be available to everyone.
