  “only the agency can approve such artifacts for sale” I want to see the N.A.S.A. policy this comes from… was this told to them from the beginning? If not then N.A.S.A. doesn’t have a case.

  You can’t change the rules after the fact. If they were given these items, which is seems pretty clear by Kraft’s comments, then it’s the astronauts call on the sale of the item that legally belongs to them… not the federal governments!

  does this fire department recieve “state” or “federal” funds? If so then they have an obligation to protect the property of the people who fund them… in this case the taxpayers whose home they let burn to the ground.

  Wow… I amazed at just how fast people are throwing Joe under the bus… Let’s not lose sight of the facts:

  1) campus police knew about this long before Paterno ever did… and they did nothing
  2) the actual eyewitnesses chose to tell his coach… over telling the cops
  3) the college police and administration, who knew of the allegations dropped the ball too.

  Paterno isn’t the “villain” here, He’s just the most well known of those connected to the incident. Yes, he failed to report the allegations, and for that the school was justified in letting him go, but let’s not forget who carries the bulk of the responsibility for this: Sandusky, McQueary, the campus police, and the Penn State leadership. This is a simple case of deflection… put the focus on Paterno, to sheild themselves from srcutiny.
