  • If I’m not mistaken (and I’m sure that if I am someone in here will be happy to tell me) the only reason the TSA was started was to improve security at the airports, or more specifically, to improve the security of the planes. There is still a huge gaping hole in security before you get to the lines to be scanned and/or groped. The scanners were put in place by Obama but I’m guessing that the discussion about them started when Bush was in office. He may have known about them and rejected them…but I don’t know. Either way, the only way we are ever going to fully secure our transportation systems (not just planes) is to have trained officers who can visually profile people and then pull them out of line to find out what they are up to. Long before they get into the airport, train or bus station etc… Right now, a terrorist could come into an airport and blow himself up and kill hundreds or even thousands if he had others who were doing the same thing. And for those of you who are willing to give up your freedoms for a little more security, you are part of the problem. I refuse to fly until they get rid of the scanners and gropers and actually do like the Israelis do and PROFILE! I already know that if my wife and I, much less my young daughters, were to fly somewhere and someone started groping them that I’d end up in jail. So, I’ll just drive where I want to go and not give any of my money to the airlines.

  • Personally, I think the painting is right on the money. I would buy one and put it in my home. The problem that the libs on here have with this painting, is that it is FACTUAL! They don’t know how to deal in facts, however. Thanks to the artist who came up with this idea

  • To the Sackett’s: First of all, it is so cool that your last name is Sackett! I‘m sure you get comments about that all the time from Louis L’Amour fans.

Secondly, good for the Surpreme Court! I am constantly amazed and stunned that some of our federal agencies are even ABLE to exist, much less wield this kind of power. It’s PRIVATE PROPERTY!!!!! And good for the Sackett’s! I congratulate you on continuing the fight on this thing. Hopefully you’ll win very soon and be able to rebuild your lives.

  • Jimmy Carter, who professes to be a Christian etc… must have Alzheimer’s or some other memory disease. The Bible does indeed talk about homosexuality.

Homosexuality is an illicit lust forbidden by God. He said to His people Israel, “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination” (Leviticus 18:22). “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them” (Leviticus 20:13). In these passages homosexuality is condemned as a prime example of sin, a sexual perversion. The Christian can neither alter God’s viewpoint nor depart from it.

In the Bible sodomy is a synonym for homosexuality. God spoke plainly on the matter when He said, “There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel” (Deuteronomy 23:17). The whore and the sodomite are in the same category. A sodomite was not an inhabitant of Sodom nor a descendant of an inhabitant of Sodom, but a man who had given himself to homosexuality, the perverted and unnatural vice for which Sodom was known.

Mankind can decide to live by their own rules all they want, it doesn’t change the fact that at the end of their lives, they will be judged by God’s laws. It doesn‘t matter if they don’t believe in Heaven or Hell. Just because they don‘t believe doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist.

  • I must admit that I am quite surprised by the number of negative comments about this technology. First off, I think the ACLU can go suck wind. Their complaints about the FLIR camera are ignorant..”they can see through walls!” Yeah, and show an infrared picture of the person behind the wall..basically a heat signature of a person behind the building. How is that an invasion of privacy? For you boneheads who are talking about shooting down one of these drones. 1st of all, yes, you would be arrested and prosecuted for shooting one down. It may not be a person, but it is still police property. 2nd, you’d be extremely lucky if you even knew it was there, especially at night. These things are extremely quiet and very fast. 3rd, are you a criminal? Do you live in a very bad part of the neighborhood where a lot of crimes happen? Then yes, you might have a drone around you. These things are going to be used to just fly around all over town hour after hour. They would be used in specific instances where the situation was too dangerous for the officers to get close to the suspects, so they send in the drone, check out the situation, and take down the bad guys with non-lethal force. Bottom line, bad guys get caught and thrown in jail, no officers are harmed trying to take in said bad guy. Sounds like a win-win situation to me.

By the way, before any of you start trying to call me a liberal or something..you couldn’t be farther from the truth. I am a WAY far right conserv

  • The people at Westboro Baptist Church claim to be Christians too, but their actions (just like Hitler’s) certainly don’t prove that to be true. Regardless of whether or not Hitler called himself a Christian, his actions in the extermination of millions of Jews and others are NOT based on true Christianity. So, you lose there.

As for this whole case with this little atheist girl and all of the other cases where atheists are just so traumatized by a “prayer scroll” or the Ten Commandments or a Nativity scene being on public property, some day a real judge who isn‘t afraid to buck the system and actually knows what the Constitution says and doesn’t just go by the popular and completely misguided notion of “separation of church and state” (which the Constitution says absolutely nothing about) will take all of these childish cases and throw them right out of the courtroom. The ONLY thing the Constitution says is that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;” This Amendment was added so our religious freedoms would be secure and so the Federal Government would never be able to do what the King of England did…proclaim that Catholicism or any other specific religion would be the law of the land. This amendment also gives ALL of us the right to worship how, when and where we choose! Or we can choose NOT to worship. It was never intended to keep any of us from expressing our beliefs on govt. owned

  • It’s really sad that people, regardless of what race THEY are, have to try and turn the conservative movement’s disgust with Obama into a racial issue. Samuel L. Jackson and Morgan Freeman (who is one of my most favorite actors) honestly believe that people like me who don’t like Obama MUST be racists? They can’t seem to imagine that anyone could simply not like what Obama is doing to our country, putting us trillions and trillions more into debt, trying to force us all into socialized medicine, wants to take away our constitutional rights to keep and bear arms, constantly bypasses Congress by using regulation, executive orders, fiats etc…. Yeah…what’s not to love about the guy?

I’ve always figured that Samuel L. Jackson was a racist and now he’s proved it. I’m saddened to find out the Morgan Freeman is in the same class with Jackson…always thought he was a smarter man than that.

  • Well said, MOMRULES…well said.

  • I’m not sure I would have handled it that way…what a waste of a good computer! I do think the public humiliation of his daughter will probably come back to bite him in the butt…but maybe that’s what it will take to get through to this kid. I’m not really sure when it started, but kids these days seem to feel like their parents are there only to house, clothe and feed them…and other wise stay out of their business. I know that my two oldest kids (who are now grown and have babies of their own) tried that kind of behavior a few times and they quickly learned that it wasn’t going to fly with their dear old dad. I used to get my butt whipped on a regular basis when I was that age, I guess I was a little hard headed and it took a while for me to learn that if I behaved, life was a whole lot better. More kids need to get the belt applied to their butts when they are younger, and no…getting your butt whipped as punishment is NOT abuse. It’s a means of teaching children that there are rules in life, and if you don’t follow them you WILL be punished…and your life will be miserable until you learn to obey your parents. Better to teach them that when they are young than to try to get them to learn it when they are in their teens.

  • I have a problem with a gay couple raising a child. We are in the process of raising a whole new generation of people who think being gay is a good thing, much less a proper thing. I know I just ticked off a bunch of you…well, too bad. I will not compromise my principals and religious beliefs just because so many people are trying MAKE us accept the gay lifestyle and just to throw our beliefs out the window. If you are a Christian you can not disregard what the Bible says about homosexuality. I don’t mean any ill will toward homosexuals, not in any way. Gays are still people too and deserve respect and love etc… Just don’t ask me to support gay marriage, gay rights, or the right to willingly assault someone without being charged like any one else would be.
