  You are all missing the point. It is not the male dog’s items, it is the fact that they are looking up the @ss of the Marine’s mascot. They are being reminded just how much of their tongues have to do. I still believe that PC should be personal computer. From one who transported squads of Marines into locations (and out) where they could beat the hell out of our enemies in Nam.

  To ICEDRAGONNITE. For some reason, as a former paralegal who knows about jury nullification, I always seem to be kicked off of juries. I was once asked (after all the other juror prospects were out of the courtroom) what I knew about jury nullification and I replied that this was the way our founders used to keep the three branches from imposing unconstitutional laws upon the citizens of this country. First time the prosecution kicked me off a jury.

  If I was this gentleman, I would file a lawsuit against Washington, D.C., for illegally holding onto his legal property. Give them a release by-date and a fine of $100K PER DAY after that date. NYC is another city that actually stopped me outside the U.S. Mission to the United Nations and attempted to take my military issued (and loaded) weapons during the course of my military duties, even after being shown my duly authorized military orders.

  Now, if I remember correctly, this officer stopped on U.S. government property and therefore did not violate any D.C. law. The police officers, their supervisors, etc., should be shown the inside of the jail.

  In another version of this story, these tickets are being given out based on NO law. They are using the driving and texting state law. I hope one of the people who got one of these tickets file a suit against the city, councilpersons, police chief, policeperson, and any court and judge or other person in government involved based on unlawful arrest, imprisionment, etc. It is way past time to reclaim the U.S. Constitutional protections we have against the people who think they can control the voters with laws which are unconstitutional.

  You must not be actually working in the tax industry to have forgotten the newest job that requires a “license.” Your tax preparer! We generally work 3 1/2 months a year for $2 to $5 over the minimum wage. Out of that time, we might get 3 weeks of full time (40+ hours) of work per week.

  You have to take the basic course, which can cost from nothing or just cost of the books, depending on whether you might work for a national firm, or you can take it as part of a community college course. Starting this year, we have to have 15 hours (minimum) per year of classroom education PER YEAR and have to get a tax preparer ID number. The latter costs $64+ annually now, but will increase when we have to be fingerprinted this year. We also have to take an “IRS” exam – cost over $105 – the IRS has not decided how often we have to take this test. The “advanced” classroom courses can cost upwards to $300 per year.

  I manage two tax prep offices, but will make less than $6,000 this year.

  Of course, then we get people who have no idea training in finding their correct LEGAL tax liability. Yesterday, a gentleman came in expecting to pay additional taxes, but after spending an hour with him, and finding he qualified for well over $4,000 refund, he walked out instead of paying less than $300 in fees. He thought I should be paid about $150, which is what he paid the year before to another firm. (Since he said he had little change, I wonder whether he overpaid his taxes last

  As we found out under Clinton – when we have a Democratic controlled Senate – they will not be allowed to vote against the party – no matter if the impeachment allegations are correct or not. Therefore, it would be useless to attempt to impeach Obama and he would be able to use the attempt to “win” the election. Even giving an answer, yes or no, could be used by Obama against him. Even not answering the question is being used against him. So, don’t even ask the question while he is in office – get him out, then bring him up on treason charges once the DOJ is back in sane and patriotic hands.

  We “believe that levels around 300 are considered safe to keep a stable climate.“ Where is this ”belief” coming from. How did you measure the 200-300 preindustrial level? Did you take into consideration the output of the sun?

  Who the hell gave you the decree or taught you that beliefs are more important that actual observable data. You cannot form a theory without data to base the theory ON. Ice core samples from the preindustrial era have shown that CO2 levels have NO bearing on the world temperatures.

  What CO2 has shown is that when these levels climb, more green leaf plants get larger which converts the CO2 to O2. When CO2 goes back down, the green leaf plants die off. It is called global checks and balances.

  Makes you wonder just who their professors were in journalist class. I remember one prof in 1965 who stated in class that it was perfectly alright to “enhance” statements by using “ellipses” to bring together separate parts of a statement to make it more understandable. On the whiteboard, he wrote out a complete paragraph, then stuck in the ellipses (”…”) and erased the words he wanted. I pointed out that he had deleted the word “not” which changed the whole statement. He laughted and stated that this was fine since he had used the actual words of the statement and “had not changed the order” that the words were said.

  After myself and several other students objected, he told us that “real” journalists enhanced stories to get the masses to purchase their papers. We walked out and complained to the school, but, he was a tenured professor and kept his job even after we presented 16 written and sworn statements that this happened to the Dean of the department and then the head of the college. We were told basically that we should find another class (of course, we couldn’t be refunded our fees for this one). I found another college and still have an incomplete on my transcript.

  I have a friend who brought a house about 6 years ago. Last year, he was notified that his property was in an HOA and he owed 5 years of dues, plus interest and penalties. If he didn’t pay within one month, he would also owe attorney’s fees for collection expenses. They also placed a lien on the property.

  We checked the HUD paperwork, house listing for when he brought it, title insurance paperwork, etc. Nowhere did it mention that his property was connected with a HOA. It appears that there was an old HOA which “went out of business” 8 years earlier and the old builder was attempted to restart the HOA to collect money he had paid out for repairs the courts had forced him to make.

  At my suggestion, he countersued, demanding that the HOA either quit claims any “legal claim” it had on his property or pay for ALL the expenses he had personally paid out for sewer connection required when he purchased the property, all of the landscaping he had paid for, and the money the city had demanded for improving his street – plus interest. He was joined in the lawsuit by the other residents on his block. Once the HOA saw what was being demanded by his lawsuit, they quietly exited the scene and dissolved the HOA for that section.

  My liberal wife divorced me 22 years ago because I wouldn’t give her the money I needed to advertise my product, then demanded I give her half of my business. The liberal judge allowed me to keep $342/month to live on – included in that amount was business expenses. My business lasted another 2 months and I had to close the doors even before my ad appeared. (Had to submit my bank statements and P&L (or wage statement) every month for five years. She even got my Fed refund check.)

  Since that time, here in liberal Washington, I have not been able to find a good republican woman who was not already attached and from their attitude, keeping their husbands happy as well.
