Oh gosh. Would you look at how many books of commentary you had to take out of context and string together in order to “make your point?”

To understand the Gospel, you need to study the “Scriptures.” The law, the psalms, and the prophets. As Jesus said, these were ALL about him. That’s what the apostles were working from in their commentary. To deny that some of the apostle’s writings were simply wrong, study the New Testament itself where Paul brutally condemned the teachings of Peter. In those clashes, they couldn’t BOTH be right, which means that at least one of them was WRONG.

I know all of this stings a bit, but that’s just the way it is. Of course, that‘s not to say the New Testament isn’t helpful. In fact, consider this:

“12 Therefore, as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin; and so death passed unto all men, for that all sinned:–

13 for until the law sin was in the world; but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the likeness of Adam’s transgression, who is a figure of him that was to come.

15 But not as the trespass, so also is the free gift. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound unto the many.”

Quick tip: “the many” is described in the first verse. It means “ALL.”

I’d suggest that YOU read the “SCRIPTURES.” According to Jesus, that would include, the law, the psalms and the prophets. I’ve read all of the “Holy Bible,” and I’ve been all through the evangelical christian experience. So I‘m not unfamiliar with where you’re coming from. Unfortunately, and this will “shock” you, but the New Testament is NOT “scripture.” It is at best, commentary on the scriptures. Jesus never referred to the New Testament as scripture; it hadn’t been written yet. The apostles never referred to their writings as scripture, because they weren’t. But when they spoke of the scriptures, they spoke of the law, the psalms and the prophets.

Here’s another “beauty” for you. What YOU call “christianity,” actually denies the Gospel, and the redemption of Christ. Jesus proclaimed he came to redeem the “whole world.“ ”Christianity” says he failed. “His redemption is incomplete, until you complete the ‘work’ of profession.”

Where you fail is that you haven’t believed the Gospel. But that’s OK. You’ll still go to heaven, because Jesus did not fail.

  • Christ came to redeem the whole world. That is EVERYONE.

    He succeeded. He didn’t fail.

The big difference between the believer and the non-believer is the non-believer will be surprised when they enter heaven, while the believer will not be surprised that they AND the non-believer are there.

  • Hey, Rational Man, I’m not a Paul supporter, but it occurs to me that when you say, “Paul, who has served 11 terms in three different stages dating back to 1976, didn’t get a single law passed until 2009,” my first thought is, I wish that were the case with ALL of our congress critters. Just think of how much horrible, rotten, dirty, no-good legislation we could have avoided in that case.

The problem in Washington is not that they “don’t do enough.” The problem is they do WAY too much.

  • Just think about how many birds this will save.

And, can I please get a picture of the turbine that “fell completely over?“ That would be the perfect image for the entire ”green energy” movement.

  • Yes. And as far as I’m concerned, we should not call him Jim Wallis. We should call him “Jim Sandusky, because what he is attempting to do is no less perverse.

  • Infiltration on every level. But God will hold you accountable, Jim Wallace, for your attempted infiltration of the Faith of Jesus Christ.

We’ll be saying the same thing in January, 2013 you corrupt POS.
