BYU Basketball Team Dismisses Star Player for Having Premarital Sex

This is all about religion, what are you talking about. If there religion wasn’t so backwards and in the dark ages then they would still have a good basketball team. Guess I can scratch them from my bracket.

I can’t not see one scenario where this kid could get any benefit out of what happened here.

What I don’t understand is paying to go to a school that would kick you out for something that is not only fun and awesome but natural. This school reminds me of a society from the middle east, granted they dont stone you to death but I think the penalty is pretty harsh for what he did. Anyways that’s my 2 cents.
10 Commandments Removal From VA Schools Causes Student Unrest

No one took prayer out of school, students can pray until the cows come home. It can not however be organized by the school. If you want to send your kids to a private school then they have every right to teach directly out of the bible.

1. No one says you can’t pray in school. It just can not be lead by a teacher or a school employee. If students wanted to, they could pray till the cows come home all day long just as long as it is not organized by the school. 2. The government should not be in the business of promoting anyone’s religion. Yes this means your religion, and since people are required by law to go to a PUBLIC school they should not be put into an environment where they could feel excluded by the majority of any religion. Finally, I believe that the only rule anyone needs to follow in life is the Golden rule.
PA Town Removes 57-Year-Old Nativity Scene From Gov’t Building: ‘Highly Disrespectful’

It is a public court house that non-christians have to go to. Like a public school. Would you be ok with a scene out of the koran being displayed in the court house? There is precident for this sort of thing. If you wanted to stand on the side walk and prey then you are more than welcome to do so. In the US you have the right to practice your religion the way you want to but it can not be endorsed by the government. This whole war on x-mas is stupid, there is no war on x-mas.
Miss. Judge Jails Attorney for Not Reciting Pledge

You diservice soldiers and others who fight for our freedom with your post sir. They fight for this lawyers right to slap them in the face. As crazy as that sounds it is how it works.
Miss. Judge Jails Attorney for Not Reciting Pledge

The judge is completely out of line here and frankly I am surprised with how many people are siding with the judge. Freedom of speech means you have the right not to speak as well. I’m shocked that this “JUDGE” doesn’t know what freedom of speech means. As far as I’m concerned this lawyer could have crawled under the table while the judge wanted everyone to say the pledge.
