  I bet it was something as silly as wanting to use the red carpet as a “frame” and they needed to move Mubarek off the edge. They also flipped his image horizontally. LOL.

  Ok, maybe by the strict definition of the word (”show gratitude, respect, or admiration”)…

  But I would expect a tribute to be more about *thanking* President Bush for specific actions related to Iraq. Maybe President Obama doesn’t think President Bush deserves praise, or maybe PBO‘s ego won’t allow praise of others.

  To say that Pres. Bush supported the troops is, well, like saying “rain is wet.”

  IMHO, I wouldn’t even say that t was a “mild” tribute. It was a statement of fact.
