  • My biggest question is “Why is this guy still not in jail?” Also anyone else notice he has no wikipedia article? Keep doing your homework blazers, thanks to Glenn and the Blaze for putting this out there, and God bless those men like Frey, Allen, and Walker who have the courage to stand up and speak the truth and are willing to tackle the injustice in our world. Also, a couple links you guys might find interesting if you’d like to familiarize yourselves with the speedway case and the wikipedia issue:

  • Christians SHOULD read the Bible. And I disagree with Dawkins. Reading the Word has not lead me to doubt or disbelieve my faith but rather has made me more convinced that it is true and more passionate about it. And people should read the Bible; whether it draws them in or turns them off, let the truth be the truth and the chips fall where they may. However my problem with this would be that liberal public school teachers are bound to present the Bible from a skewed point of view and try to show it to the students in the most unflattering way possible. There is also the danger that in doing this and mentioning what a “great literary work” it is, we are making the Bible just that. It will no longer be viewed as Truth, as God’s Word, but as merely another literary work to be classified with the Odyssey, Beowulf, and Hamlet. But I think, like alot of issues today, most of these things come back to reflect the hearts of a nation, rather than it’s policies.

  • Don’t talk about faith and science as if they are entirely exclusive though. If anything, it’s just the opposite. Science, knowledge, facts, all of these things will, if understood correctly, point to the Truth. It is not sincere pursuit after truth that leads people away from God, but rather doubt and their sin nature. Faith, as Lewis said, is sticking to what you know to be true, even when your doubts and emotions may play against it. And while this discovery is very cool and all, most atheists, I doubt, will have any change in opinion over the validity of the Bible and it’s Word. Some people could see all the evidence in the world, God Himself could come down from Heaven, and they would still reject Faith.

  • Stoic! Completely stoic! You go Congressman West! Don’t let nothing she says phase you. I love how he keeps saying that they should go back to important issues and focus on the economy and she keeps bringing up stupid and trivial stuff. He shoulda just said “yes, they’re all communists!”

  • Despite being a guy who only reads KJV and NASB myself, I didn’t find too much wrong with this. I’d have to go through and read the translation myself to know if there were any doctrinal changes, but the intentions of those making it seemed good enough. I’ll say this though, there are already plenty of watered down and simplified versions of the Bible out there for people to read if some of the older ones are too complicated, so a whole new version seems kind of unnecessary and redundant. But what’s key is that the message, not so much the words, is conveyed. And for new believers, maybe it’s alright for them to start out with something smaller. Paul refers to them as “babes in Christ” and of feeding them with “milk” rather than “meat” because they weren’t ready for it yet. (1 Corinthians 3:1-2). Now of course, however, I think people should be extremely cautious when making new versions of the Bible, one of you already pointed out the warning in Revelations. One just has to be wary that they do not cross the line between making the Bible easier to understand and distorting the message. James also warns those who would choose to be teachers of the gospel: “knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation” (James 3:1); not because they will be condemned for teaching, but because they will be held accountable not only for the beliefs they held, but for the ones they taught others as well.

  • So long as Brian Sack gets to deliver a speech there too, I’m happy.

  • They just want to preview the new flag that’s going to be saving over our capitol if Obama gets elected again.

  • Maybe if the guy in the picture didn’t look so nerdy they might not seem so bad…

  • Oh wow. So on one end she‘s arguing how great it is for the mother to kill her baby and on the other end she’s a staunch advocate of keeping the baby for yourself. “However, there is no need to suggest that abortion be rare. To say so implies a value judgement, promoting the idea that abortion is somehow distasteful or immoral and should be avoided. “ Something ”distasteful or immoral” about…killing babies? “Our volunteers have experienced adoption in their own lives, and they can tell you what it feels like to be adopted” Oh really? Did you ask if any of your friends knew what it feels like to be aborted?…oh wait… Ridiculous…I just hope very few people actually read her nonsense

  • Oh the irony! First the government (with the help of our beloved first lady) is going on a health campaign against places like McDonalds and trying to dictate what foods are healthier for kids to eat in school and now… The government is buying and feeding children more “pink slime” and places like McyD’s are actually getting rid of it. Wow, the double standard, the hypocrisy, the horrible irony…
But hey, look on the bright side… at least your kids are eating the same wonderful meals that they apparently feed prisoners (as if there wasn’t enough irony and parallelism to this story already)
