  • I wanted the Republicans to show their elected strength at the State of the Union speech. It is upsetting that the Republicans fell for this “friendship seating arrangment.” Congresswoman Bachmann and Paul Ryan complimented one another with their words. But, the best part of Bachmann’s appearance was that the Tea Party is not going away. The Tea Party and independent conservative voters are watching and paying attention and replying.

  • I have not seen the entire show as of yet. Watching the clips here, in the first clip, even though I knew Glenn would not harm the bunny – the thought image of harm coming to that bunny with the chainsaw was “frightening.” In the second clip, the chainsaw was doing what a saw, in my mind should be doing, so even though the saw was running, I chose to watch Glenn and the bunny because it was cute and pleasant. While I was watching “cute and pleasant” were my freedoms in this country being cut away by the chainsaw which I looked away from because I thought the chainsaw doing what a chainsaw should do.

  • “The Blaze LLC” – “The Blaze is a news, information and opinion site brought to you by Glenn Beck and a dedicated team of writers, journalists & video producers.“ ”…brought to you by Glenn Beck…” Mr. Beck has given Pastor Broden a forum to discuss Pastor Broden’s interview and have the discussion published. The headline on The Blaze includes the word “Exclusive.”

  • Thank you for your post. I’m learning more history tonight by reading the messages left here.

  • Thank you for your post. I’ve been preparing some geneolgy work and while searching time lines picked up on the Trail of Tears and used it as a point of history in my manuscript. I’ve often wondered how a descendent felt today. I’m very new at exploring history and also writing in a public forum.

  • Your comments and concerns are appreciated. I, personally, don’t look to Glenn as my “spiritual leader.” I’ve been taking this more as a bringing together persons of faith in God to unite in prayer to for our country and the basis of its foundation. I do look to Glenn’s shows for information that I may further explore and question and am, admittedly, inspired. I’m, though, following Jesus Christ and Glenn Beck is not taking me anywhere. Opening my eyes to issues? Yes. My “spiritual leader.”? No. My Grandmother was Catholic and married a Mason. My father was Catholic and married a Lutheran. My parents raised their children Catholic. My Mother took me to Lutheran Bible school once and my Grandmother called her out on it – I still remember drawing Angels at the Lutheran Bible school that I wasn’t able to attend. My father left the Catholic Church and attended the Lutheran Church (I don’t know what synod) with my Mother. I married a Catholic raised in Catholic schools who turned away from the church. We now have a mixture of Catholics, Lutherans, and Evangelicals in our family and those who do not attend a church but state they believe in God. I attend all three churchs as the occasion may call for because I want to be with my family. Our family politics range from stanch Democrat to those who have left the Republican party and call themselves independent conservatives. And, for all of those who disagree with me, I pray to God that they retain the freedom in the United States to do so – and, some of them think I’m on the fringe for even considering that people in this country may lose their freedom and/or freedom that may have already been lost.
I’m no expert at anything and have not stated “what’s on my mind” until The Blaze. Thank you for allowing me to ramble.

  • Thank you, TIGGER1!

  • Thank you.

  • Thank you for sharing your story and your thoughts and convictions.

  • The following is quoted from Pages 48-49-50 of “Setting the Record Straight: American History in Black & White” by David Barton (I hope Mr. Barton doesn’t mind):
“While much early Democratic opposition occurred on a State by State or local basis, in 1866 Democrats formed a group that became national. Its declared purpose was to break down the Republican government and pave the way for Democrats to regain control in the elections. What was the name of that group? The Ku Klux Klan.” (Footnote: 146 – Smalley, A Brief History of the Republican Party, pp. 49-50)
“Although it is relatively unreported today, historical documents are unequivocal that the Klan was established by Democrats and that the Klan played a prominent role in the Democratic Party.” (Footnote: 147 – See, for example, University of Texas Austin, “The Ancestors of George & Hazel Mullins: Democratic and Republican Parties Compete for Power [website included])
…”Since the Klan targeted Republicans in general, it did not limit its violence simply to black Republicans, white Republicans were also included.” (Footnote: 152 – Alan C. Collins, The Story of American Pictures (New York: Doubleday & Company Inc, 1953, p. 236)

Please, as Glenn would say, “Do your own research.” (I think I have that correct.) I’ve only just be gone because maybe what I learned in American history classes was slightly abbreviated in scope.
