  • Simple solution–sell the memorial to a private entity–church, historical society, etc. They pay for it, maintain it and the city gets a few $ in the till. And not just this site–all locations where ever they are. Sell them for $1 to heratage preservation societies, etc, and they will then be protected. Then all the atheists who are truly forcing their religion on the citizens of the US and just have to grin and bear it! But don’t worry, they will come out with some other legal maneuver to force us to ‘convert’! Also, freedom of religion means the ability to practice it publically. What they are doing is infringing on that right. Whereas having a cross or other religious symbol in a public square does not force anyone to do anything but see it.

  • Interesting article. It reminded me I needed to go turn the turkey in the smoaker!

  • The problem with a defensive system is that it doesn’t REMOVE the attacker. Most pirates carry RPG’s and artillary that could cripple or even destroy many of the ships on the ocean. And don’t even think about a tanker. So, when the pirate sees the ‘water curtain of death’ on a ship they just radio the captain and tell him to turn it off or they’ll blast them out of the water. No solution here guys.

  • Tempest in a teapot. Romney has repeated shown he knows how to find and use the best people for the job at hand. And, the job at hand is to beat Obama. Let’s not fly off the cuff and assume the worst about this new guy. I don’t know anything about him but I have to trust Romney and his election team to due what makes sense and what will help to get him elected. Hey, mistakes can be make and if this is one Romney will correct. it.

  • Just wait until Santorum loses in PA. Then you’re going to hear some real whining!

  • UKIDDINGME:

    You ain’t kidding me! I agree 100%.

  • Hmmm–
Other jobs Romney could have chosen for Santorum:
    Whiner in Chief
    Religious adviser
    Ambassador to Mexico
Ambassador to the Vatican(that one actually makes sense)
    Special Envoy to Iran
    2nd Lieutenant to Assistant Anything
    Lie-son to the Black Caucus
    White House Swimwear Model
Given those options Press Secretary sounds pretty good!
