  Desertrose1960, there is no doubt that Obama’s recession has taken its toll, but not to the extent that the great depression took. The difference in the reaction, of course, is that in the 1930‘s we didn’t have a generation of people with so little going for it that it‘s members weren’t able to get off their collective arse and find a way to do something useful FOR THEMSELVES!!! These days the first reaction is to look to the government to take care of them. Pitiful – no drive left; no gumption in the lot of them. So their answer is to get together, crap in each others tents, and make their respective cities spend a lot of money on them – one way or another!! Just pitiful.

  Lugar, ya’ dirt mound, tea party conservatives want RINO’s like you gone. What you don’t get – and probably never will – is that we are interested in CONSERVATIVES having the majority. That doesn’t necessarily mean Republicans. What a dope!

  Maher is insignificant – and eventually he will disappear. The outrageous comments are a loser’s attempt to be relevant, but the impact he has on most people’s lives is zero.

  Really hard for well-dressed, overfed people to make themselves look like victims, isn’t it? To make matters worse, they generally have no idea what they are protesting. Those that do apparently have no idea that they are protesting the very thing that brought them their laptops, cell phones, kindles, etc. No wonder this tiny minority are disregarded by the rest of us. They truly are insignificant – except for those poor souls who have to put up with their presence.

  The rhetoric has changed, but the results look remarkably similar to when Pelosi was Speaker of the House. Someone needs to inform Boehner that, while there are some items he can’t take with him to the House floor, his genitalia is not on that list.
