  Why anyone would BE a tourist in NYC in the first place is beyond me. It wasn’t a bad place with Guiliani running the police but Bloomberg is a disaster. Here is another place to boycott. Take the money out and there is a slim hope of change prompted by business interests. Without hitting them in the pocketbook, the City will remain unchanged.

  Ironically, the OWS movement has cost them millions, has bankrupted many businesses in
  downtown, and the response? Crickets.

  The humans standing in front of a jump, for whatever reason, were totally at fault. Good golly, steeplechase jumps include brush jumps and a riderless horse would naturally be able to make the jump that he was trained to take. What idiots. Furthermore, horsecrazy is absolutely correct. What the heck moron would go to a horse race and know NOTHING about horses? Why did no one grab the reins as the horse ran by??? Inexcusable.

  These PETA morons need to wake up. For one thing, steeplechase horses tend to be older than the flat track animals that people describe, above. It takes older legs, ones that have been strengthened due to age, that can take the punishment of running fast and jumping through fences. I have been watching NEVER BORING TB races since I was a toddler at tracks all over the country. Watching a 2yo break a leg at the 3/4 pole in front of the crowd is gut wrenching. Awful. I would be the first to agree that TB’s are run at WAY too early an age… but it isn’t about the horses. It’s about the money. Truly horrible things happen to TB’s because of the money… and not just at the tracks.

  Please look at the released (photoshopped) version versus a REAL version for someone born at the same general time at the same hospital, same Index Data page and authentic photocopy from the 60′s. Charles G. Bennet was the Registrar General in 1961… not Okubo.

  Thank you. I agree totally. The fact is that the Supreme Court MUST fully define the term “natural born Citizen” (nbC) which is exactly how the President has gotten around the issue to date. The concept that the birth certificate has significance or the idea that people questioning his status as a nbC are all racists are total distractions. Mr. Obama/Soetoro has stated both orally and in print that his father was Kenyan. A natural born Citizen is born on US soil (jus solis) of two (2) citizen parents (jus sanguinis). HELLO! Anyone listening out there? The birth certificate is a ruse, folks.

  I have hand delivered a letter to Joe Kelly in front of Glenn regarding a lawsuit that is an attempt to remedy this tyranny and yet Glenn, Pat, Stu put their fingers in their ears and sing “lalalala”. I wrote Scott Baker about it… and still no clarification of these facts.

  It IS about the Constitution. With all of the talk about defending the Constitution why is Scott Baker not researching this issue and reporting on it???

  Soapbox is an excuse…

  In the first place, you were put in confinement as an adult. You had experience outside of confinement. This bear was NUTURED in confinement, therefore did not have any other experience to tell it to be afraid or even slightly concerned about its situation. Don’t try to put animals into human experiences… they simply aren’t comparable.

  Meanwhile, I concur with those who have suggested that the reason that this bear was rejected by its mother may very well have been for reasons humans simply do not understand. I raise many types of animals and I am often amazed at what beautiful little babies I have to bring up as orphans because their mothers rejected them only to find that they have serious problems later on that I have to treat (or face when they don’t make it). It is as if their mothers know more than me (sarcasm intended)… I know that I am human, but that doesn’t make me know more than the animals that I tend… or God, that tends us all.

  Are you kidding? This what fighting will look like if it erupts here. I can bet you that our “troops” will arrive in pretty expensive trailers, but once unloaded, it has been demonstrated for centuries that a person on the ground (or better yet, plural persons) are no match for a man on a horse that has been trained for war. Dressage is an ancient art of teaching a horse to respond so he can aid the soldier in war. There is no surprise that NYC and other large cities have been patrolled by horse-mounted police.

  I can imagine there are plenty in flyover country who could respond in an instant… just like in Cairo (problem is they had to RIDE there first).

  It seems amazing to me that you all, Beck listeners, would not be citing the presence of Code Pink and the Ayres/scarey wife (hey I’ve been thawing out frozen pipes all day) in Egypt and throughout the Mideast just a month ago. So much of this Muslim Brotherhood garbage is being initiated by these creeps. It is the old one plus one equals two scenario. Ayres/Doerne/CodePink/Obama are all in bed together. Google it… the stories are there. You can’t completely take down the US and Israel without putting a fire under the jihadists and give them every indication that their day has come to overtake their enemy. The ships for aid to the Palestinians was funded largely by Soros and his band of Communists (eg Ayres, etc.) and there are direct links between modern Communists and Islamists to “take over”.

  It is so simple. We are so American in trying to appease everyone that even the most conservative fall into the line of being Politically Correct. It isn’t Correct. It is Political. And it is EVIL…

  All I can say is that I know of many honorable servicemen who, having served their country with honors, developed a left leaning political attitude. For those of us who find this offensive, it is understandable that there would be this backlash against Murtha.

  The worst thing, however, is that Murtha used his heroic actions to become a greedy, self-serving pig, including sending millions of dollars in funding to his brother and to other self-serving kickbacks. These kinds of actions more than eradicate all the good that he did, personally, during the Viet Nam War when he was young and impressionable… and patriotic.

  Speaking from experience, someone showed him how to use the gun. I had reason to defend myself and a friend showed me how to use a 9mm (Glock, Baretta, etc) and I had to go over the routine more than once. In order to keep it from shooting to the sky, you have to be very controlled and focused… because as the ammunition unloads quickly, it will force the gun upwards. He unloaded a 30 round clip, plus the one in the chamber. Jared had that 15 minutes worth of fame in the back of what was left of his mind.

  No one has a child this disturbed and doesn’t know that, as parents, they have a problem. These people aren’t social, either, are a bit disconnected, and simply did not know what to do.

  Research will undoubtedly show that in order to obtain a handgun, one must answer the question about whether you have ever been treated for mental illness. If Jared had not, he should have. He should never have been allowed to own a handgun… period. The laws already exist for this condition so don’t let people convince you that more laws are necessary!

  The Pima County Sheriff has a required lengthy explanation and possible discharge of duty. It is his job to know where the flareups are going to occur.

  I think it is interesting that “fear mongering” means warning people that our country is in debt up to our great-grandchildrens’ ears to the Chinese, that we have sacrificed our security to mindless gropings at airports instead of stopping terrorists at our borders, and that we face an even greater great depression that this country could possibly imagine. He has simply asked his listeners to be prepared so that they don’t starve to death, that they have some kind of exchange for goods or services when the dollar is finally reduced to zero. That is fear mongering? I think that is reality warning. More importantly, he has asked that people make their peace with God and, whatever comes your way, go in peace. He has never advocated violence. Never.

  So, while BeckisNuts is trying to defend himself, he hasn’t been listening to Beck at all.

  I think the most interesting facts are why is it that this 22 year old lived with his parents but they never noticed his erratic behavior, did not know about the skull and candles in the backyard under a camo cover??? Did not know about what he was doing on the internet? Did not question him about why the college asked him to leave? Not one media person has asked this question… instead they point to Sarah, Glenn, or Rush?

  The fact that any of these conservatives have to defend themselves is ludicrous. The leftards have all gone crazy. Ironically, Gabby Giffords would have had an R instead of a D behind her name if she represented a Republican constituency. She didn’t, so she ran as a DemoCrap.
