  • I found this quote on another news site recently that perfectly sums up the birth certificate issue:

“Regardless of where Obama was actually born, it is clear that Obama is not mentally or culturally an American. He spent his whole childhood outside of the continental U.S. and much of that time in foreign countries. Obama sees America through the eyes of an outsider. He rules over America as a foreigner who has a big chip on his shoulder about America. He dislikes everything about America and wants to change all of our history and traditions. Its the mindset that counts, and in that regard Obama is not an American.”

  • @ wvernon1981, you state, “why do you need to use the government to promote your religious beliefs?” Answer: we don’t, but many of the statues, images, and creeds which so offend your type are around still because of our historical past. Our country was founded on religious principles and ideals. Has every elected American official upheld them? Sadly, no; but by and large since our founding, we have been a religous people and predominately a Christian people. These are our traditions and when traditions are ridiculed, we react; it upsets us. I doubt you like being told that your views are silly either. Since atheists don’t believe in God anyway, why do you care? We are a much more diverse nation now than we were then, and today we don’t see things like this being erected or built. That being said, why should we have to remove those that have stood for decades, or longer? That makes no sense. If it bothers you, don’t look at them; if it offends you, don’t go there to visit. In short, grow up & get over it; we like it there!

  • TVR1, you said, “There should never, ever be any arguments over religion in the United States unless it actually begins to infringe on the rights on those who choose not to participate.” Just when have you, or anyone from the FFRF, had your rights infringed upon by a lowly, solitary cross in a non-descript parking lot, in a cemetary, or on a church? Look away if it bothers you, just like many of us must do when we see offensive things on TV or elsewhere. It may be just two perpendicular sticks to those who think like you, but to the people of Woonsocket, and to every family who has lost a loved one in the field of battle, or in the service of their country or community, the Cross, or any religious symbol for that matter, are symbols of quiet respect for the fallen. Your right to say, “No thank you” to religion, has been written into our inspired Constitution, and paid for with the blood of Hero’s who have given their lives so you could decline your own salvation. The real rub here is those who have never had to pay the ultimate price of Freedom, are willfully and callously denigrating the sacrifice of those brave souls who have.

  • and I thought the use of ‘black face’ went out with Al Jolson…Why isn’t Al Sharpton coming to her aid? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIaj7FNHnjQ&feature=related

  • and, has anyone else noticed that they named their dog BO? The same Initials for…Barack Obama? A man so narcissitic that he names his dog after himself.

  • This is just natural selection in process, and a Darwin Award loser; lucky for her…this time!

  • If these and other OWS people were really that concerned about not supporting capitalism or corporations, then they ought to shed themselves of everything and anything the have that comes from these “evil” entities. If they want to put their money where their mouth is, that would mean every man made article they possess; in essence, everything they own, or touch, wear, or consume. Let‘s see how far that get’s them. And, just because a person goes to college, doesn’t mean they have any common sense or brains, which is the main common element every last one of these hobo’s has in spades.

Just remember folks, this moron has served for 16 consecutive terms and who elected him? The same people who reelected him, term after term, the people of Massachusetts. Let’s be fair though. The same type of idiotic thinking people who elected him also elected other such notibles as Joe Biden, Maxine Waters, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer and others, over and over; the list is endless. So, who’s to blame for all the damage and all the chaos these braindead people inflict on us? We the electorate. As they say, elections have consequenses, and while I shudder at the thought, Crown Prince B.O. will more than likely get reelected if we do not vote, or hold our current and future politicians to a higher standard than we have in the past. God Bless the U.S.A.!

  • Frankly, I find our modern culture a heck of lot more scary that fretting about what the true meaning of “All Hallows Eve” was in ancient history. If you think Halloween is Satanic, then don’t participate, just don’t spoil it for the rest of us who view it as a day to be silly, dress up in funny costumes, and indulge in way too many sweets. As for my family, when we go looking for pumpkins, I’m spending time with my kids; when we’re looking for costumes to wear, I’m spending time with my kids; when I take my kids trick or treating, I’m spending time with my kids; and when they’re sorting their candy and sharing it with me afterwards, while watching old episodes of “The Twilight Zone”, I’m spending time with my kids. That’s what kids remember most, Parents spending time with them.

  • Riponpundit: Answer – because the unborn do not vote! Legal abortion has decimated the black community, just as welfare has elimitated the need for black fathers. Decades of indoctrination by the Left has gutted future generations of black americans, just as the one child policy in China and a “Boys Only” mentality is leading to massive disparities between the # of males to females there. Plus, lower birth rates in western countries including the U.S. are why many governments, not just the U.S., don’t do anything about illegal immigration. Amnesty = more taxpayers, = buying the votes of a large voting block who want handouts.
