  • I wish he were the Gov of CA. We are so screwed up out here it‘s amazing we haven’t fallen over yet…we really need someone like him who isn’t afraid to take on the unions and the special interest…but alas, it appears we may end up with either Meg Whitman or Jerry Brown…and I don’t like either of them!
I really envy you people in NJ!

  • No, I noticed as well…you do that here, and it wouldn’t fly. But there, I guess their people are used to it.

  • I was wondering the same thing…throwing shoes???? Eggs???? I think they also like to throw tomatoes. What is with throwing things anyway? Here in the states our crazy lefties hit police with bottles and our crazy right-wingers pray and carry signs.

    That’s transparency for you!
Personally I can’t stand to hear the man speak anymore, I feel as though he’s talking at me and not to me. But I’ve stopped watching him talk over a year ago…I know when his speeches are and I wait for them to be over before turning to Fox News so they can debate it. I have tried, and most recently with his last “chat” about the war…I can’t listen to him. I really can’t. How he talks down to us, his eyes are the only thing that moves as he reads his teleprompter and how he says the letter “s” – all of it is like nails on a chalk board now.

  • And another unemployed person joins the fold. Curious about the charge for “trespassing”??? Maybe I tuned out to early and missed what or how he trespassed.

I agree. We need to restore America! I am completely for getting rid of these alphabet soup agencies, they serve us no real purpose and suck up our tax dollars faster then a hoover.
As to corporations – our influce is via our consumer dollar, so I totally agree with Smarty and as well, I too will never buy anything made by GE and GM, for that matter. Sadly, and though I really love Cadillac, I will not buy GM vehicals until they clean house of the unions and repay us with their money they earned (not using more tax money and repaying it and saying we paid it back early – deceptive). And sadly, I also think Ford needs to be tossed into the same bucket as GM, though they didn’t get a bail out – they are infected with the unions and it’s the unions that are lurking everywhere with their destruction.

They aren’t the first, back in April Fox News announced that “L.A. Times Declines to Endorse Sen. Boxer in California Primary” of course as you read further it says the LA Times choose not to endorse anyone. Not sure if they have/will endorse Boxer this Nov (because I don’t read them, so I don’t know off hand).

  • I say stick with the original words of the song. I remember a rhyme as a child:

Monday’s child is fair of face.
Tuesdays’ child is full of grace.
Wednesday’s child is full or woe.
Thursday’s child has far to go.
Friday’s child is loving and giving.
Saturday’s child works hard for his living.
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good, and gay.

I’m teaching my son this as one of the many rhymes he hears at bedtime, should we freak out and change the words on this one as well? I mean this could imply a child born on a Wednesday is full of woe and it could hurt their self-esteem…over-reaction isn’t good, it drew attention to something that didn’t need attention.
