  OK gang – I know that some of the posts here have been quite brilliant and spot on (AVENGERK – love it!), but we have to be fair in this. We’re not dealing with a “race” thing here, it’s a “stupidity” issue. Let me expand – Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Arlen Specter, Harry Reid, Barbara Boxer, Dennis Kucinich, Jesse Helms, John McCain, need I go on?
  Lest we be labeled as “racist”, we need to recognize that stupidity comes in every color. All it takes is an uneducated electorate that want lots of “free stuff” from “those that can afford it” to get these idiots in positions of power.
  What they all don’t understand? The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples money…

  EAGLESNEST – I hate to be a nit-pick, but the little things really bother me. A Gulfstream (one word) is a different brand of aircraft than a Lear Jet. While Gore doesn’t actually own a plane, he frequently charters or borrows various private jets to do his globe trotting. While he was VP, his standard ride was a 757.

  I often wonder how many people realize that two of the BIGGEST recipients of funds from United Way are the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America, and I’ve never understood why. When I was a scout, we had to pay local dues, regional dues and national dues. We had to buy every piece of our equipment and raise all of our own funds to go to any of the camps. We even had to buy our own merit badges. Nothing was provided to us by “corporate” headquarters. So why do they get MILLIONS of dollars every year from United Way…?

  How about… A building that kind of looks like a mosque, (but it’s just coincidental), and it has a pixelated cloud coming out of the top of it that’s kind of mushroom shaped, but just to enhance the use of space and light… Suppose that would be OK?? No issues from the muslim community, or the ACLU, or Jack?

  Chairman of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank. He worked his way up
  to the chairmanship of a regional Federal Reserve bank. This is only
  one step below the chairmanship of the entire Federal Reserve System
  (the top banking position in the country). This position allowed him to
  see how monetary policy is made from the inside, and understand the
  political forces that impact the monetary system.

  After reaching the top of the banking industry, he changed careers for
  a fourth time!

  The difference is that this boat uses a submerged pontoon for floatation rather than a foil to effectively lift the boat out of the water when in motion. Boeing designed and build both a military and commercial version of the hydrofoil in the late 70′s – early 80′s. Carter killed the program for the military.
