  • The sun is huge, and looking at the relation of the object to the sun, that thing would be about the size of planet earth…..

  • Well shoot. I lack empathy too. I don’t sympathize with people at all and have a heart of a cold stone.

I do however believe in facts, statistics, and reality of human nature. Emotion isn’t something I want to see in a leader, I want to see vision, a plan, and an understanding of the world around him.

Part of Obama’s lack of empathy is his lack of roots. I don‘t think he recalls growing up poor or what it’s like having to work for a living. He never had a job that wasn’t funded by tax payers, his role-models are all american hating socialists, and he can’t seem to grasp that other people have different opinions.

I don‘t care if Obama can’t empathize with me, but he‘s pretty darn stubborn in doing things I don’t want him to do, or recognize that this IS America and not Europe..

  • Actually, if you apply for a job, or even score a job interview (no guarantee that you obtain the job or be employed more than 2 months) you can loose your unemployment for up to 12 weeks.

Now say you’re on unemployment, been on it for 3 weeks as you’ve been spamming resumes everywhere. A hiring agency says “hey, we got temporary work, i’ts over the summer and only a 3 month long stint”. You take it for work is work. First day on the job you loose your unemployment (which happens to pay almost as much as working), but that doesn’t matter you have a job. At the end of 3 months you’re back to being unemployed. But since you accepted work, and off the unemployment dole, it is hassle and workarounds to get back on. You are being punished for finding work. Meanwhile you have 0 money coming in as you search yet again for another job.

This is the main reason why people who have been on unemployment for 2 years almost don’t bother looking for a job because they know that government will punish them for trying. It’s easier to just leech off the government dole than risk being homeless on the streets all because you tried and failed.

  • These Are The 10 Worst Jobs For 2012

    In reply to samnjoeysgrama.

While points are all valid on military being the worse job.

I wouldn‘t include it in a list because the military serves a tremendous role to the country who’s purpose of being a soldier outweighs all the negatives when it comes down to preserving America’s freedom and making the world a safer place.

It may be the worse job in the world, but one of the most needed and respected.

  • LOL you don’t use hydrochloric acid, you use Lye. Works just as well plus can be used to clean out clogs in pipes

  • A general sound rule of advice that will prep anyone anywhere.
Get a FOID card, it’s easier than obtaining a drivers license. Get one now before the rules become so strict that you probably can’t get one.

Buy a gun, it doesn’t have to be an AK47, glock, Uzi, or any military grade. A cheap .22cal is better than having nothing. Bearing arms is your right. Pick one up now while some are as cheap as $20, before a government taxes and regulates them so much that a .22cal rabbit rifle will cost more than a mortgage payment.

Get a good book on basics. In any event you don’t have internet, it’s a good idea to have a handyman book, a cooking guide, an outdoors manual, anything. I personally have an Amish guide to living. It contains blueprints, designs, everything needed for basic life from building tools, making homemade soap, cooking with cast iron, animal cleaning, and basic indoor plumbing. I also have alongside wiring 101 and mechanics bare essentials. Knowledge is great, but it does you no good if you can’t access it.

Keep $100 in currency hidden in a secure place. Always need good ole paper money when the plastic doesn’t work for some reason and no place will take checks.

Last…. a first aid kit and a batteryless flashlight. Why a home doesn’t have one just for modern life is beyond me. Keep the wind up flashlight and firstaid kit in the same place. Everyone needs a flashlight, and those wind up ones are just handy if the power ever goes out

  • Ah yes, the sweet 3rd world living in a 0 carbon footprint 3rd world poverty van…. Navigated by a $200 hipster iphone.

  • Zuckerberg, a self made billionaire, had an idea, a dream, ran on it. The business structure caught on so well that it expanded, profitable, and now a cornerstone of “social networking”

America needs more Zuckerbergs, young entrepreneurs that can show future generations that if you trust a free market, a friendly business enviroment, you can become a self made millionaire without the govt aid, welfare, or require the FEDs to make you rich.
