  • so….“let me be clear”? dinosaur farts caused global warming…… so the dept of education and the ag dept have gotten together and decided that the only cupcakes that school children can eat are black bean cupcakes…….

does anyone else see a problem here?

  • It seems like a case of bait and switch to me. For 10 years, no problems, then all of a sudden she decides to dress like that. There are plenty of m u s l i m s that do not subscribe to the hijab theory. It’s cultural, and since she is a convert, it cannot be her culture. So why the hijab?

Something else must have been stressing her out other than the job, like her pending divorce. (Although I did not think m u s l i m s divorced.) However, wasn’t that a contributing factor?

  • she should have apologived – the tweet should have been “to one man?”

  • The church teaches that thee end does not justify the means. Yes. the resulting child is a gift, but the price is too high to pay, the death of untold brothers and sisters.

In vitro fertilization invariably results in the death of children, hence it is illicit in the chuch.

If these children were, say 2 years old and an mother and father had to pick one, would the choice be as easy. The Church considers all pre-born children important.

  • If they (the employees) get their way, then the paper will eventually go out of business and they will lose their pensions altogether. So, go ahead, force them into bankruptcy and you will lose all your benefits. Who can afford to pay someone who is NOT working $350,000?

  • Of course the difference is that Warran advocates that millionaires pay higher taxes in order to be “fair” yet give the legitimate choice to pay a slightly higher rate in order to be “fair” she chooses the lower rate.

Brown, too, chose the lower rate, but he is not advocating that his collegues pay more taxes while he avoids them.

Democrats are the worst hypocrites – they always advocate higher taxes for other people.

  • Did Jesus Christ Really Exist?

When it comes to ancient history and oral history, one thing we can look at is the number of manuscripts. To say no original Biblical manuscript exists therefore it was not true is to ignore history altogether. You many not believe that Jesus was divine, but surely you must believe from non-biblical and historical writings that he existed. If not, do you also believe that Socrates and Aristotle were figments of someones’ imagination? They have less writings by far that were preserved and none original.

“Only 5 copies of Aristotle’s writings have found their way to the 20th century, while only 10 copies of the writings of Caesar, along with another 20 copies of the historian Tacitus, and 7 copies from the historian Pliny, who all originally wrote in the first century, are available today (McDowell 1972:42).

When we consider the New Testament, however,…..we have today in our possession 5,300 known Greek manuscripts of the New Testament, another 10,000 Latin Vulgates, and 9,300 other early versions (MSS), giving us more than 24,000 manuscript copies of portions of the New Testament in existence today! (taken from McDowell’s Evidence That demands a Verdict, vol.1, 1972 pgs.40-48; and Time, January 23, 1995, pg.57).
…we have a fragment of the gospel of John that dates back to around 29 years from the original writing (John Rylands Papyri 125 A.D.). This is extremely close to the original writing date. This is simply unheard of in any other ancient writing….”

  • You are absolutely correct. An insurance policy in which everything goes toward the deductivle is about 30-40% lower than the typical policy that covers routine care. And with Obamacare mandates that difference would be even larger. I should have the right to pay for my everyday care and therefore pay a much lower premium. You can’t even get a good catastrophic policy – most are hospital only, but then most surgeries are outpatient and not covered.

Medical savings accounts make the most sense. Have strictly catastrophic and emergency room (real emergencies) coverage only. Hospitals should triage emergencies into a clinic for those who are showing up with fake emergencies instead of visiting their family doctor.

  • I doubt that the girl citing a study from website that she hasn’t visited (since the study does not exist on said website) even knows what the 10th ammendment is. She obviously slept through ennumerated powers.

Women do not pay more for the same treatment – a blood test testing for cholesterol, for instance, or an office visit would be exactly the same price. Women utilize doctors more.

My husband goes to the doctor once a year, I go every 2 months or so. He has blood work once every year or two or three, I have blood work every couple of months. I utilize my dermatologist yearly for mole checks, he does not. I see other specialists once a year also, for well woman visit as an example. So, either I should pay cash for those products and be allowed to have catastrophic coverage only or a medical savings plan (both of which Obama is outlawing), or my premiums should be higher

  • And as long as you do not sin, you will remain in Christ, but you also have the free will to reject him again, and reject your salvation. The Bible is very clear on that. Once saved always saved only works when you selectively read the Bible.
    (just one example of many)
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser.
2 Every branch in me that bears no fruit he cuts away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes to make it bear even more.
3 You are clean already, by means of the word that I have spoken to you.
4 Remain in me, as I in you. As a branch cannot bear fruit all by itself, unless it remains part of the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me.
5 I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me, with me in him, bears fruit in plenty; for cut off from me you can do nothing.
6 Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a branch — and withers; these branches are collected and thrown on the fire and are burnt.
