  • In oregon they want to istall the boxes inorder to charge you road taxes based on the miles and the time of day that you drive. When you fill up at the gas pump a reader will send your info to a computer data base and the government will send you a bill for your driving . The nanny police state marches on.

  • I was a lib when I was young. Jimmy Carter cured me of my mental problem .People can change for the better. Romney would be a better President than Obama. Newt is a hand gernade waiting to pull his own pin. Who knows who he will take with him when he blows himself up. Ron Paul has some good ideas, but some of his others stink.

  • This is a fun one to watch. It should strike a nerve with the voters. It is about time to harp on the spenders and what they are doing to our children.

  • I know that most of you do not care for Romney. The problem is that the voters will not vote for someone that will reduce the amount of their government checks. That includes social security. We all understand that huge cuts need to be made now. Even if real uts were to happen , they will not be enough to matter. We might slow this train wreck down a little, but we are too far in debt to stop the coming pain. At this point I am more concerned about a tyrant like Obama continuing to make radical changes to our country. I do not think that Romney would not force a police state down our throats. Newt has some good ideas, but I would trust Romney more not to more damage with my liberty.

  • This is quite a circus. Cain says the Perry camp is in the middle of his problems and the Perry camp claims that Romney started the ball rolling. Sounds like the Perry camp wants to roll in the mud. Rick Perry trys every which way to tear up all the contenders. He looks bad in the voters eyes and Obama wins. The Speaker had it right and could say I told you so.

  • About 15 years ago I went on a 3 day field trip with my daughters class. Some of the kids were a huge problem. I sat down with one of the boys and tried to talk with him about his future. I suggested the he finish school and go on to college. His reply was interesting and eye opening for me. He said that he did not need to even finish high school. The kid did not need a job since the government would supply a house, food and most of the rest of his needs. I asked about a nice car and he did not need one. I thought alright about how to get down to this kids level. I asked where he would get the money to buy computer games and his repy shocked me. He did not need a job to get money, he could just shoot a bum. I then said that bums do not have any money and his reply was that they always had some change in their pockets. This was so sad.

  • Mr. Cain seems like a nice fellow. I don’t care for 999. We do have a problem with some paying zero taxes and others paying a lot. How about a compromise between the left and the right. We might have a 10% national sales tax everyone pays. Ten percent is easy for most to figure out. No income tax let’s say on earned and unearned income up to up to $350,000. The tax rate for income would be the 20% over $350,000 up to $500,000 and over $500,000 would be 25%. A 20% tax on all capital gains up to $500,000 and a 25% capital gains tax over $500,000. The middle class would just be paying 10% and unless you had Capital gains, you would not even have to file a return to the IRS. Everyone should pay something for the pleasure of living in this country. The sales tax would just be charged on new items. If you felt the 10% was to much, you could grow a garden, buy used clothes, a used car, etc.You would not pay a sales tax on a plumbers labor, but tax would be charged on the parts as an example.

  • Romney Sticks Up for Rubio

    October 22, 2011 at 6:40pm

Mitt Romney is not as conservative as I would like. He is smart and with Marco Rubio could beat Obama. I don’t like or trust Rick Perry. He has that same deer in the headlights look that Bush had. Romney has business experience that Perry lacks. We will need to elect an even more conservative congress to keep the pressure on Romney. Americans are right of center, but not as far right as most of us that read and pay attention to what Obama is doing to our country. Most have their heads in the sand.

  • Domestic Abuse Law Will Protect Pets

    July 3, 2011 at 10:23am

    In reply to thewildoldman.

@ Thewildoldman, What defines a pet? On my ranch our four dogs are pets, but some would consider cows to be a pet. Where is the line drawn? If I process a cow into steaks am I commiting a crime? This is one problem when the government over regulates our lives. PETA members do not feel that any animal protien should be used. There really is not any difference between a pet goldfish and a trout, they are both fish. Be careful about the laws that you want for they can come back to bite you in the rear end.

  • The end goal is rewilding. They try to kill off the economy in a rural area so that fewer people live there. Rewilding is removing man’s footprint and allowing everything else to inhabit a large area. This is part of Agenda 21. They want peploe to live only in cities. Only enough farm land around the city would be used to produce food for the people that live there. Everything else would be off limits to man. These people are nuts, but they believe they have all the answers.
