  • Confusing Remarks Have Cain Under Fire

    October 23, 2011 at 7:25am

Here is Cain’s response for those of you, especially in the media, who are completely lazy and unwilling to know about Cain…

    Dear Friends,
The abortion issue is very serious. I believe strongly that this is true, and I believe that you do too.
Because the news media loves to make mountains out of mole hills, I want to be very clear about where I stand on abortion:

    I am 100% pro-life, period.

Let me explain. In an interview yesterday with Piers Morgan on CNN, I was asked questions about abortion policy and the role of the President.

If you listen to the line of questioning, it is clear that Mr. Morgan was asking if I, as president, would simply “order” people to not seek an abortion.

My answer was focused on the role of the President. The President has no constitutional authority to order any such action by anyone. That was the point I was trying to convey.

As to my political view on abortion…again, I am pro-life. End of story.

As President, I will appoint judges who understand the original intent of the Constitution. Judges who are committed to the rule of law know that the Constitution contains no right to take the life of unborn children.

I will oppose government funding of abortion. I will veto any legislation that contains funds for Planned Parenthood. I will do everything that a President can do, consistent with his constitutional role, to advance the culture of life.

    Sincerely,
    Herman Cain

I like how everyone in the media pretends that people don‘t know where Cain stands on these issues and pretending he didn’t have a radio talk show for years.
WE know who Cain is and where he stands and we like him. It makes me sick that even all the “conservative” talk shows that I listen to, (GB, Laura Ingraham, etc) are trying to define Cain through one interview or even parts of one single appearance.
Do your research, it’s not hard — go to Cain’s website and actually read his 9-9-9 plan and what his stances are on the other issues. Cain is the most conservative person in this GOP field and these other “conservative” talk shows are oddly picking apart their own kind in the exact same way the drive-by media tries to destroy our conservative candidates.

  • Drug prohibition does more to make Americans unsafe than any other factor. Just as alcohol prohibition gave us Al Capone and the mafia, drug prohibition has given us the Crips, the Bloods and drive-by shootings. Consider the historical evidence: America’s murder rate rose nearly 70% during alcohol prohibition, but returned to its previous levels after prohibition ended. Now, since the War on Drugs began, America’s murder rates have doubled. The cause/effect relationship is clear. Prohibition is putting innocent lives at risk.

What’s more, drug prohibition also inflates the cost of drugs, leading users to steal to support their high priced habits. It is estimated that drug addicts commit 25% of all auto thefts, 40% of robberies and assaults, and 50% of burglaries and larcenies. Prohibition puts your property at risk. Finally, nearly one half of all police resources are devoted to stopping drug trafficking, instead of preventing violent crime. The bottom line? By ending drug prohibition Libertarians would double the resources available for crime prevention, and significantly reduce the number of violent criminals at work in your neighborhood (www.lp.org).

  • Chris Rock thought up this plan on one of his comedy tours… wow what a great solution, lol!!!

  • These people are NOT libertarians! These are idiots of the left doing what they always do. If you are protesting, then at least own up to your actions and quit crying, yelling, and pretending you weren’t doing what they were warning you not to do. Change the laws and regulations properly, don‘t whine and complain and ruin other people’s day at the memorial.

  • I guess O‘Donnell didn’t read or know that all the people out to get/set-up Christ were TAX COLLECTORS.

  • So this professor’s argument implies that he thinks all people were Greek scholars in their writings and all people used Greek exactly the same way everywhere. Maybe you need to brush up on your argument and reason skills professor… what do you think?

  • Is he good at coming up with proofs for math above Calculus? I may need to request his help…(I could make you a Nobel Prize, minus the money and the worldwide recognition).

  • Lawrence says since he went to school for 12 years at a Catholic school that he is an expert on all things religion and the Bible… if that‘s true then he is just one of millions of ’experts.’
What an idiot, who watches this guy lol!!!
