  • The most frightening and maddening thing about this garbage is that it has co-opted real worship — yesterday in church our minister lumped the hijackers in with the almost three hundred people they killed when praying for those “aboard the planes” — absolutely no talk of it being sin or evil, or even forgiveness because they’d done it — it was as if the terrorists were just another set of victims in a natural disaster! And the congregation was supposed to affirm this “prayer” as if it were a legitimate prayer that all intelligent people would agree with!

  • And still no one has had the guts to charge her with treason — at least the folks at QVC have some sense.

  • For a laugh, look at the youtube link on the comment by “THELEFTISDA”. It will make your day! Thanks for sharing!

  • The real John Galt believed in God. I agree that science and God mesh perfectly. The best book I ever read on the subject was written by Stephen Barr, a physics professor at the University of Delaware. I am not certain I remember the title exactly but it was something like: “Modern Science and Ancient Faith” This book should be required reading for all physicists in training.

  • I agree with JBL – our Catholics (especially those who teach the faith) have so little understanding of the sacraments that this mother can call the anointing of the sick“ the sacrament you get before death” and act hurt that her child is not getting First Communion b/c he can’t understand the meaning of the Eucharist. He does not need it – he is too innocent to be expected to be responsive to the enormity of Jesus within us. And to TEDDRUNK – I live in Joe Biden’s diocese and we prayed the St. Thomas More prayer for him for two months after the election. I don’t know if our Bishop advised withholding Communion from him, but I sure do know we all understood Old Joe was putting himself in a state of self-condemnation for his hypocrisy. All hypocrites do the same when they reject God’s laws but receive the sacrament anyway.

  • And yanking my kids out of school was the second smartest thing I ever did — my Dad saw the sex-ed thing coming way back in 1966 in NJ public schools where it started. He was the guy on the pilot film for the program (shown across the country for more than a decade) inarticulately stating the case against sex education. He was used as the example of the foolish parent from whom our children had to be saved… I was a pioneer home-schooler having realized long ago exactly from whom children really do need saving. The devastating racial anger they fostered is all part of the same plan as you have so astutely stated. It has been by design from the start.

  • Sound Off: Is Beck Right or Wrong About Tea Party Outfits?

    In reply to faktchekr.

You make an excellent point — the lamestream media will spin it their way. So there’s no point in giving them what they want — and they want to be able to point their cameras at Uncle Sam and Betsy Ross in the tea party crowd.

  • You never would have caught Cal Ripken pulling a stunt like that!

There are people out there so desperate for attention they will do just about anything — when it is a situation like this, where there is an unintended victim (the target of the copycat), it is heartbreaking; when it is one’s own child (as in Munchausen’s syndrome), it is even more criminal. There are far more of these narcissists in society than we want to believe.

  • You are all making my day — this is the funniest thing I have read in a very long time, but being a very convinced conspiracy theorist I would like to remind everyone that this is Chris Christie’s state, and the distraction of men falling from the sky may be just what the liberals ordered… so close to the election…
