  • I believe that future generations will look back on abortion as we look back on slavery. It’s so obviously heinous and terrible. Future generations will ask themselves how we could have let this genocide occur all around us.

I feel sorry for any girl who has been raised to believe that such practices are acceptable. Theirs will not be an easy story to answer to God for.

  • @Scottscobig

I’m pretty sure I remember a little green guy leading an army of Clones in “Attack of the Really Stupid Name.” Perhaps you shouldn’t be getting your political advise from a hypocrite.

On topic, I’ve gradually lost a lot of respect for Palin since she first exploded into my life in an interview Glenn Beck did with her back on CNN. I almost voted for McCain because of her, but I just couldn’t pull the trigger. However, the more I’ve seen of her the less impressed I am. She’s not the biggest RINO out there, but a lot of her endorsements have fallen flat to me.

  • People overcome their biology every day. Didn’t eat that extra doughnut? You just beat your biology. Didn’t have wanton sexual activity with someone else regardless of their desire to? You just beat your biology. Didn’t go into a murder frenzy and start hacking people to death in traffic? Congratulations, you just beat your biology.

Some things are obviously harder to do than others and some things are harder for some people but not others.

This is important to note, because everyone probably has a serial killer inside themselves who they don‘t let out because they’re good people. We should not be looking to explain away someone who has the most destructive of hate within themselves. They commit the crime, they should do the time.

  • It was very nice of you to tear down that straw-man, Third Archon, but completely unnecessary. No one in this conversation, thus far, had suggested that people agreeing means they’re right. Instead, what was stated outright was that the majority of America is conservative or moderate, not liberal. This is not an argument based upon the truth of a position, this is an argument based upon you suggesting that “regular” people are liberal. They are not and I have demonstrated this.

I backed up my argument with solid numbers and sources. Try doing the same with yours.

  • reg·u·lar
       [reg-yuh-ler]
    adjective
    1.
usual; normal; customary: to put something in its regular place.

If one is to understand that regular effectively means normal, then one must then wonder why you’re suggesting that liberal people are normal. They are not normal, they are out of the mainstream.

    http://www.gallup.com/poll/141032/2010-conservatives-outnumber-moderates-liberals.aspx

    Number breakdown from 2010:

    Conservative: 42%
    Moderate: 35%
    Liberal: 20%

By those numbers, you’re abnormal, not the other way around.

  • Alright, on the standpoint of corruption I can see how earmarks would be something to do away with. But from a fiscal perspective, I still don‘t think it’s a big deal.

  • Oh come on! That was absolutely brilliant!

If you can’t laugh at yourself you have no place laughing at others. It’s a bunch of very well done, hilarious jokes.

  • Earmarks don’t matter, people. It‘s just a bugaboo the politicians can set people against so they don’t have to do any real cutting to the budget. If you cut ALL earmarks, you’re cutting out anywhere from $17 to $67 billion from the Federal Budget. Compare that to the size of the Federal Budget$(3.4 TRILLION in 2010) you’re talking about around 1-2% of the budget. Is that really going to change anything? No. It’s a drop in the bucket. Nothing. Less than nothing.

It’s over hyped nonsense. Fine, let’s get rid of all earmarks, despite the fact that’s part of what Congress was made to do, but after that you’re still going to have to gut ALL other Federal programs to get the deficit in order.

This is meaningless. Let the stupid rats have their earmarks. It makes almost no difference whatsoever.

  • Not a single part of this is surprising. Of course Ron Paul is an isolationist, he wants to close all our foreign bases and withdraw all our troops. He wants to stop sending all foreign aid. He wants the US to keep itself to itself and I, frankly, agree. It’s a matter of timetable, however, as I don’t think we should do all of that in 4 years, probably should spread it out over 20-30 years.

I’ve always suspected that Ron Paul was a Truther, something that I really don’t mind in a person. Family members of mine are Truthers and most Truthers(especially the ones on the right) are Ron Paul supporters. I think he walks right up to the line of declaring himself to be a Truther in his public statements, but doesn’t go too far.

This didn‘t tell me anything I didn’t already suspect.

  • Bill Maher is nothing but a disgusting troll. He says things to get a raise out of them. Ignore the fool and he’ll go away. Don’t get offended, don’t get mad, just ignore him.
